As most of you already know, Mirage Entertainment is one of Canada's largest and most respected agencies. We know that the current CORVID-19 situation has caused many industry ladies a sudden and unexpected crisis in their everyday lives. Many unable to earn enough to pay the rent or cover basic everyday needs. For the ladies currently in the GTA that have suddenly found themselves homeless, or on the verge of finding themselves homeless, Mirage has this to offer :

We have one bedroom condos across the GTA that are furnished but currently not in use until we resume operations, i would say at least a couple of months from now. These accommodations would be FREE OF CHARGE, to ladies in dire need. They are not intended for seeing clients, living accomodations only.

They will be on a first come, first serve basis, and PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO LADIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN.

Those interested, please email us at mirage-entertainment@hotmail.com

These are difficult and trying times for all folks, lets all reach out and help someone in our community that is in need.

Complete discretion assured.

That’s amazing!! Just an FYI to the ladies in Ontario. Notices and enforcement of evictions has been suspended, specifically because so many people can’t pay rent right now. If someone is trying to evict you they are doing so illegally and without approval. If you currently can’t pay rent, then let your landlord know you will currently not pay rent. If you can pay a portion, inform them how much you will be paying and make sure to get receipts for all payments you make. I’ve informed my landlord that I will only be paying a portion of rent for April. Don’t think they were happy about it, but bottom line they can’t do anything about it. They cannot kick me out. And they can’t kick you out. Keep yourself informed on what the government is doing for people now out of work because of Covid. There is financial aid available!!! So go check the government website and read through the measures that have already been put in place.

Cannot evict you yet. But they will definitely serve you with a notice of eviction and you better have all the back rent ready buy the time the eviction ban is lifted.

Okay but once covid-19 is cleared you will owe your landlord the amounts that you didn't pay, and if you don't pay it, they can and will kick you out, and perhaps sue you.

covid is not a screw-over-your landlord-card or a free windfall of money, but if that's the angle tenant's take, they'll reap what they sow.

Going to be interesting to see if there is a surge in evictions following covid due to tenant abuses during the isolation period.

This is what every business should do: use the resources that will be (almost) wasted anyway to build a trust with their current and potential employees. I bet SPs who will take on this offer will be loyal to Mirage.

P.S.: Please, come back to Ottawa and establish your present here by recruiting a few young new talent: we desperately need a reputable agency in our city!!!

very classy Mirage.

as for evicting a tenant at this time, I doubt it will happen? why? so you can re rent to another? Who's available to rent to now? Probably someone else who was evicted for not paying their rent. This is the time to work with your tenants, your landlords, and your suppliers and clients and help each other through this. Its of no fault of anyone's but nature. Time to step up and work together and help one another.

Total class!!! Now this is what I like to see!!
The ole days of the abusive pimps etc are slowly going away... unfortunately I know it still exists but it's nice to see an agency not only looking out for its own ladies but others in the biz too!

Notices are suspended as well. But the government has put that in place knowing people won’t be able to pay rent and that the backlog of rent will be reason for eviction when this is done. So measures will be put in place to protect renters and for back rent to be paid via a payment plan(probably with no interest)negotiated between the landlord and tenant based on their financial situation, and that the back rent due to covid will not be a reason to evict a tenant(unless said tenant hasn’t entered into a payment plan with the landlord to pay back rent). If they don’t do that there will be mass evictions and too many people out on their ass. That would be a huge problem to deal with, so instead there will be measures put in place to prevent that happening, as they would already be aware of what the consequence would be for people based on current laws.

The problem is the Landlord still has to pay his/her mortgage (possibly deferred if allowed but not suspended), maintenance fees and property taxes. It's not an easy situation unless the governments were to suspend all payments except for essential needs for everyone across the board it's not fair to punish landlords.

Then you have the commercial side. Business A is forced to shut their doors = no income. Landlord still expects their rent, now what? Goverment is allowing a fund to pay employees but what about the Rent/TMI?

Mirage/Andy well done!

To Mirage Entertainment,

I'd like to personally commend you for your generosity. It would be my sincerest hope that ladies do not exploit this offer so that those who truly are in need of living accommodations can benefit.
