Prince Andrew Has 'Completely Shut The Door' To Cooperation With Epstein Probe: Prosecutors

Mon, 03/09/2020 - 14:16

Manhattan US Attorney Geoffrey Berman says that Prince Andrew has "completely shut the door" on cooperating with federal prosecutors in the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking investigation, according to the NY Daily News.

"Contrary to Prince Andrew’s very public offer to cooperate with our investigation into Epstein’s co-conspirators, an offer that was conveyed via press release, Prince Andrew has now completely shut the door on voluntary cooperation and our office is considering its options," Berman said on Monday at an unrelated press conference.

In January, Berman said Andrew has provided "zero cooperation" on the case.
Andrew has been accused by Virigina Roberts Giuffre, who alleges she was coerced into having sex with the prince on three separate occasions when she was 17. She has offered a detailed account of a March 10, 2001 encounter in which she says she danced with Andrew at the Tramp nightclub in London before he had sex with her. Giuffre has also released an infamous picture of herself, Andrew, and Epstein 'madam' Ghislaine Maxwell, in which Andrew has his arm around her.
Andrew has suggested the picture is fake, and has denied any association with Roberts Giuffre.

In November, the prince claimed in a trainwreck of an interview that Epstein had "quite obviously conducted himself in a manner unbecoming," adding "Of course, I am willing to help any appropriate law enforcement agency with their investigations, if required."

Well, no citizen has the obligation of cooperating with a police investigation against him. I sure AF wouldn't.

OTOH, he did make a big show of offering to cooperate.

May be after he kept looking at this photo, he started to realize "A picture says a thousand words"?

I heard that Phillip and Charles told Prince Andrew to go away and stay out the public spotlight for the good of The Firm.

And you heard from who.....
https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2019/12/prince-philip-charles-andrew-sandringham-lunch

"Last week Prince Charles reportedly went to Sandringham to seek the counsel of his father regarding the Prince Andrew fallout. On Thursday the Telegraph reported that Philip also spoke to Andrew about the scandal over his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, and said he had to “take his punishment,” per the outlet’s source.

According to the newspaper, Andrew drove the 140 miles to Sandringham on Monday to have lunch with Philip and Charles, just hours before the BBC aired an interview with his accuser, Virginia Roberts Giuffre. “It was a tense meeting, and Philip told his son he had to take his punishment,” one Sandringham insider told the Telegraph. “There was no screaming or shouting, but Philip told him in no uncertain terms that he had to step down for the sake of the monarchy.”

Charles also had strong words for his brother. “It was all very civilized, but Charles calmly read him the riot act and told him there was no way back for him in the near future,” the insider said. “Andrew thought he was being treated harshly as nothing has yet been proved against him, but he accepted the decision.”

According to the source, Philip was sympathetic to Andrew’s concern, but was more focused on the interests of the family. “Philip doesn’t like trial by the media, but he is realistic enough to realize that Andrew’s actions were a danger to the very fabric of the royal family,” the insider added."

If Prince Andrew knows what is good for him, he will keep his mouth shut (which he should have done in the first place), and live out the remainder of his days in the countryside.

Innocent or guilty, there is no benefit to him to cooperate. Its just a lynch mob.

The " Prince Andrew Affair " has the potential to be used as leverage by the US State Department and others in Anglo American disputes going forward. The Firm cannot keep paying out hush money forever on this one.

If Andrew has any form of exposure, would this mean he should never set foot in the US ever again? Could he be held as some form of material witness?

I don't think Diplomatic Immunity applies to the Royal Family.

Holding Prince Andrew as a material witness would cause an International Incident, which probably serves as an effective deterrent....but, if he were smart, he wouldn't "thumb his nose" at the US Judicial System by physically stepping foot in the country.

Interesting to see if diplomatic immunity applies if he comes in a non official capacity to perhaps visit some of his personal friends in the US.

The British ambassador to the USA is immune from prosecution while he is on diplomatic assignment, but not if he returns a few years later in a non official capacity.

He doesn't seem like the type that would tempt fate. I know I wouldn't if I was him.

Best thing for him to do is give no interviews or press. Just become part of the furniture for a few years.

He is now known as the "Pedophile Prince". Look at how his friend Epstein exited! Where is his other friend Ghislaine Maxwell? Maybe this guy is wise to keep his mouth shut and like Trump he is a big blackmail target, paying out millions in hush money. It is very difficult to hide the money trail. Maybe ”The Firm" will wack him!

The whole Royal family are a bunch of pedophiles. Look up Jimmy Saville. And you can include the British Parliament as well.

An innocent man wants all the evidence to be heard. A guilty man wants none of the evidence to be heard.

Apparently Andrew doesn't want any evidence to be heard.
