I wanted to find out if there was any connection between Saint Etienne and Etienne Marcel, I figure that looms large in French history. After the disastrous Battle of Poitiers, the French King was taken hostage for ransom. Etienne Marcel as Provost of the Merchants Guild became the most powerful man in France - but he was no Oliver Cromwell. He attempted to devolve power from the Monarchy, the imprisoned King Jean was vehemently opposed. He lead an insurrection, was defeated and killed - King Jean died in captivity.

Cannibal Corpse take themselves seriously absolutely not lol. Other than scourge of iron which is political it's basically walking dead in musical form. I love em. Corpsegrinders favorite thing to do is wander around target with his kids looking for specials. Bands like Thy Art Is Murder and Cattle Decapitation take themselves very seriously. Nearly all their songs are social or political commentary.
There is Always drama with LOG. Especially after Randy Blythe went to jail. Then there is the whole Chris Adler thing. Amazing band live, the pits are insane.
