I think it was simply ignorance on JT’s part about the meaning/impact of wearing brown face. This pic is about 20 years old; over that time the world has changed and our understanding of cultural oppression’s many facets has developed.

Justin apologized...that’s good enough for me. You won’t find a more woke guy in 2019 than JT.

Plus...I don’t believe in vaporizing people every time these kinds of mistakes arise.

Moreover... all the people flipping out and clutching their pearls in this thread would never vote for JT anyway.

Id say coupled with the more recent India trip it's a more systemic issue of inappropriate cultural appropriation and Insult.

He just doesn't get it. And that's not good enough for the header of the nation.
