As great as Leonard has been, this team could not have won without key contributions from Lowry, Vanvleet, Siakam and Ibaka. It's a great team win !
I owe Ujiri an apology. A couple of years ago I criticized him for not having made significant improvements on the team that he inherited with core players of Lowry, DeRosen, JV, etc. Then he started to make a series of gutsy moves, first firing Cassey, and replaced him with a rookie coach, then trading DeRosen and JV for Leonard and Gasol. Even then I was
skeptical and that just showed how little I knew about building a champion.

Shame about both Klay and KD going out for an extended period, Golden State lived up to it's title, they are true Warriors. Klay may not have torn his ACL if it wasn't for the hamstring strain he already had. Freddie VV had the power of new life working for him, run back proud Fred you'll never drain a bigger 3 in your life. The Fun Guy got the MVP he richly deserved and he got his charming laughter back when he was interviewed by NBATV. An unforgettable night all around.

Klay Thompson is a cold blooded 3 point hitman. If he didn't have a per-existing hamstring injury he may have not torn his ACL. There's only so much Novocaine can hide.
How much of a team players is Kawhi? He mentioned in his press conference that he texted Kyle Lowry shortly after the trade. He invited him to dinner and to talk about the upcoming season. Kyle was pissed by the trade but he didn't refuse. Had they not met, the Philadelphia 76ers would be NBA Champions.

Great to see the Raptors as champions, not so great is police cars trashed, numerous TTC buses with smashed windows and graffiti spayed all over them and numerous bus shelters destroyed. I thought Toronto fans were a step above our American counterparts.

1) Why do the refs give so many free throws to the other team?
2) Why does Lowry get a foul when he is run over by the other team?
3) Why did the refs disallowed Kawhi's last basket and forced him to shoot two free throws instead?
