Its down to the wire now. It all comes down to whether Kevin Durant can actually play on Monday, and then Thursday, and then Sunday. If he plays Monday and turns this series around, and the Warriors eventually win, no one talks about Kawhil again and it all comes down to the legacy of Durant. Not even the Warriors, but the story for the rest of the year, and going forward will be the greatness of Kevin Durant. Is it possible? is he even healthy?

How many of you planning to attend the parade in downtown toronto next week? Watch for the guy climbing up the hydro pole, lol!
I don't care to much about the parade, but the hoopla downtown if they win the night of is fun to watch. Non of my friends are interested in going down, but I'm still debating if I'm too old to go downtown. It's fun to watch. I was downtown for both Jays WS wins and it was great.

Beside Real Sports Bar any other places you guys can recommend to watch the game on Monday?

Unless I'm very much mistaken Kevin Durant is not playing. He has a calf injury, the same injury Kawhi had last year. He's a UFA, if he plays he risks a ruptured Achilles tendon. If that happens you wont see KD till the 2020 - 2021 Season. Leg injuries are kryptonite to basketball players - look at how quickly Klay Thompson dropped off.

Everything works in cycles. The Warriors have been through the wars for five straight years now, that adds up in terms of injuries.

All of the latest news says he's not ready. But you're right about how the narrative would change if he came back and the Warriors took the series. C'mon it's all over on Monday night!

Leonard might one day find his name on lists like this (this one which I think is accurate): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijn65GshaPs

i don't know if it is just posturing and scheming, but prior to Friday Steve Kerr mentioned that Durant needed to practice a day or two and then he could play. He said he didn't practice Thursday so he wasn't playing Friday....implying he could try again Friday or Saturday and play Monday.

Jalen Rose however indicated yesterday that Kevin Durant's attempt to practice yesterday "didn't go well on any level".

It would seem then that Monday will mostly likely go without a healthy Durant.

doesn't mean the win goes automatically to the Raptors. Curry, Thompson et al, could have a Monster game Monday night. Personally now I'm putting some Champaign on ice on Sunday.

Durant plays Monday night and then what? He ruptures his Achilles tendon and is never the same again. It's just beginning to dawn on the San Antonio Spurs the gravity of their situation, they probably fired their medical staff. Load management baby, they'll have to do the same for Durant next year.

Where Kawhi's painful journey began. Dirty play by Pachulia.

Durant has been out of action for a month now and he has yet to practice at full strength. There's no way you can just turn it on like that in game five after such a break, not to mention, he'd be taking a tremendous risk that could derail his career. Lastly, in a perverse kind of way, it's in his interest not to play and see GSW lose to prove the point that without him they just couldn't do the job. There was some silly statistical speculation prior to this series that GSW might actually play better without KD, this stupid notion has obviously been dispelled by now.

Apparently, Kawhi's girlfriend loves Toronto and she and Ayahna Lowry are now BFFs. Did you see the two of them together singing O'Canada after game 4?

I don't know much about basketball but it seems to me that only 2 or 3 Raptors are over the age of 30.

A contender for what? Without Kawhi this team doesn’t get out of the second round. You need an all-time great player to win a championship. Masai realized this and got rid of Demar.
Pascal is a budding superstar and will be dominant next year. Lowrie is a star. Free agents they could try for are Durant, Butler , Kyrie, Clay Thompson.

I saw Lowry's wife, but don't know what Kawhi's GF looks like. BTW, they weren't singing O'Canada. They were chanting "Lets go Raptors" and "One more game".

Which is Kawhi's GF? The one behind the women in the blue button down a bit to the left? (Wearing what looks to be a black top with a brown over coat)

That may be the case, but after the Raps knocked the Bucks out of the play offs, Kawhi's sister who runs his social media took to Instagram, As she's reading off all the messages, you can a family member say "you darn well he aint goonna be here next year" at the 2:01 mark of this clip"

Not that this guy makes Kawhi's decisions for him, but doesn't sound promising.
