DISCLAIMER: My questions are not complaints. My questions are not meant to incite an argument or a ciivil movement of any kind.
Recently I've been venturing in to the world of Independents, while in Toronto. Given that i'll be travelling there a bit over the next while, I'd like to spend time with a few, in order establish a "go to girl" when I'm in town.
The girls I would like to see, all have reviews on TERB, websites, Twitter, Erotic Review, etc tc etc.... Im basically not using random ads to find services... never had. Never will.
Every girl I want to see has regulations regarding their booking process! Typically a list of info to provide, or a web form to complete and submit. Most times they want some Personal Info, Booking Info, References and more frequently a Deposit (for first encounters mostly).
Personal Info: Typically theres a list information that must be provided. I usually have no issues with anything here... if i do, I take them off my list of ladies I would like to try. I would like to know why an sp would need my phone number, given we're booking over the internet, and communicating via email afterward, with no intentions of calling each other? I've read about some requiring a copy of your ID, or your work phone number etc. Maybe a few of the Indy sp's could shed some light on it for me.... none of the sp's Ive seen ever called me, texted me.... always contacted by email.
References: Most require two references of a well known/ reviewed SP that I have seen i recently. I can understand this, but what if I don't have two references? I've never asked an agency to be my reference, or an agency girl.... Im not sure if any of the other clients have? Has anyone else ran into this issue? I've only seen two indy's in Toronto. I asked the first one to give me a reference for the second one, and recently i used the second one to give me reference for my upcoming third booking... which hopefully will be my repeat lady in Toronto. I know these ladies don't want to be handling references for me/ you all the time, especially if they think you may not be booking with them again. So in my opinion, asking them to give you a good referral (once) is enough. They may never make another dime off you. I'm just curious, as I doubt that I am the only person that had this issue when starting to see Indy's. Do I have to start with Indy SP's that don't require references first, then move into the other sp's once I get enough references? Anyway I only ask because, I have not sent in booking requests to certain Indy SP's simply because I didnt have two referrals to provide, mostly because I didnt want to ask the previously seen SP's for another referral. I'd already asked them for one each... Im sure they have better things to do besides give me references.
Deposits: It honestly seems as though it is becoming a very common request. I don't mind putting a deposit down... BUT, I do as well. It's not the money issue, its the evidence of money transfer. Im single, no kids no wife... my worries are with the legal aspects. I can appreciate why they would want a deposit... I've read the post about Cancellations & No Shows etc.
I certainly hope no-one reads this as me trying to find ways around references (or complaining about it) or providing info. I'm simply asking what other clients and SP's do.
And maybe the response will be, this is the way of the business, Deal with it! Which is fine also!
