You're correct my esteemed colleague.
I meant 90 minutes.
Got it, my esteemed colleague. Great idea Don. Totally love creative stuff that is short so
do not sell short the short films
Moon Unit Zappa (franks daughter) has done some nice stuff. "Ugly" is beautifully poignant and at about 20 minutes it makes some hard statements about ugly peoples plight in a beautiful people only driven society and throws social attitudes in your face that will change your attitudes if you have a heart
TIFF on king street west is the place to go to study great films and short ones as well as foreign films. I saw the lead character from Space Odyssey 2001, Keir Dullea, give a talk on this amazing movie that critics panned for its lack of 'ACTION' . They were fools. While Kubrick got some stuff wrong about the future, it is still a great existentialism film that changed how we think of films. The symbolism in this film can be diccussed for hours by the worthy and the music backdrop is sheer beauty. The lack of dialogue is what threw critics off , IMHO, and is part of what makes this a truely great film
While I think a move is a bad choice for a first date because you should be talking about each other, TIFF is Toronto gem so consider it for a great night out on your first date, if it fails as a first date then she was not meant for me.
