Apparently the students are the ones who ratted the school out to the media because they weren't handling it well, they in turn then alerted the police.
Then why don't these incidents happen at schools in rougher neighborhoods lol? That's what I would ask. I'm referring to FORCED homosexuality in particular.
In my old high school you if you even joked about something like kissing another guy, there would be a target on your back.
I can assure you in the demographics in the "rougher" areas of the city do hazing, but homosexuality is no joking matter. Sticking things up people's asses is not funny to people there. The incidents like this happen everywhere. Rich and poor.
We just don’t hear about them because of victim shame and embarassment (and fear). Same thing with sexual assault of women - very under reported for many reasons (including police lack of empathy or believing)
Makes you wonder whether Brampton Mayor elect, Patrick Brown, developed the alleged sexual deviant behaviour as a result of his environment. I actually empathize with him to some extent if he was exposed to a toxic rape culture in his formative years as a minor. The school is fucked.
News alleges that they knew of the assault on monday and dont contact the victim till wednesday.
An educational lawyer who graduated from there says it is not surprising that he gets a couple of bullying cases from st mikes every year. But that could be becsuse wealthy parents are more likely to contact a lawyer. Skewing the optics.
Think it os hilarious the media is being blamed by some parents for tarnishing the school.
Also a former grad claims this was happening i the 90s and 2000s.
Gong show.
This is what rape culture looks like: https://twitter.com/LaloDagach/status/1063681193978281984How many times does this stuff have to happen to not be "isolated incidences?"
Someone else provided past examples. And it's fair to say those are just the ones that get reported. If the video was not released would we be hearing about this one?
People will down play it and that's exactly what you are doing. Therefore, you are enabling it.
Even look at the language in the news.... hazing, group assault.... the cops called it sexual assault with a weapon and making of child porn.
Even your idea that these are closeted gays is stupid. It implies that gay people like to gang up and stick broom sticks up asses which is false. Again trying to downplay it..... "it's not the hetero majority.... it's closeted gays"
The fact the people say they knew of stuff like this when they were kids decades ago and it is still going on suggests it's still a problem. It's not going away. Because people aren't doing much about it.
Hockey has done the smart thing which is two adults in the change rooms at all times. But most sports the locker room is not supervised.
There's a disturbing number of men/boys out there being abused that really doesn't get talked about.
Anyways, your denial is well documented. So we won't be speaking.
I guess the blacks just wait till they get to prison to turn to homosexuality. just kidding.I can assure you in the demographics in the "rougher" areas of the city do hazing, but homosexuality is no joking matter. Sticking things up people's asses is not funny to people there.
That silence can be found in countless examples.... catholic church, hockey coaches, penn state/Sandusky, US gymnastics team doctor (albeit a female case). These are examples where there must have been people who knew or covered it up.This is what rape culture looks like: https://twitter.com/LaloDagach/status/1063681193978281984
But you're right that there is silence in our society around the treatment of male on male rape.
It's people like you that think all black people are the same lol.I guess the blacks just wait till they get to prison to turn to homosexuality. just kidding.
Sorry but you need proof before you make a claim like that about rougher schools.
I provided the story of the west Chicago teens who tortured someone on facebook and live streamed it.

Here are two articles about problem of hazing at black frats and colleges.
Now that you guys have met and have something in common, go on a date.Seriously Bramladesh? You sound like a bigot.
Are you sure, you're on the right thread?Decades of "progressive liberal policies" means that parents, teachers and schools are no longer allowed to discipline their kids/students (child abuse, you know).
Do you mean, while the whites do it in and out of prison?I guess the blacks just wait till they get to prison to turn to homosexuality. just kidding.

When "rape culture" is thrown around, it's rarely done to describe male-on-male rape. You know that. That silence can be found in countless examples.... catholic church, hockey coaches, penn state/Sandusky, US gymnastics team doctor (albeit a female case). These are examples where there must have been people who knew or covered it up.
That silence is rape culture.
Predators know who to pick as victims. That is also a sign of a rape culture.
It's amazing to me reading through this thread since it started how many on here bring their own biases and slanted opinions based on blindly trusting headlines. Everything from bashing Catholics to blaming kids who happen to come from wealthy families.
Yet no one know who those kids are, ie many under privileged kids attend private schools on scholarships, bursaries, etc.
And yet it becomes a story about alleged Catholic rich kids rather than the actual incident itself that unfortunately happens everywhere.
Everyone quick to call it a cover up without really knowing the facts. This is what our society has become: a platform for people to vent their own prejudices.
Here are the facts from former alumni who attended the principal's alumni meeting last night where he went through the sequence of events hour by hour:
Summary:
The 1st incident (kid in sink) came to the school's attention Monday morning. After verifying the identities of the kids in a video, the police were called. The community police officer went to the school and advised the principal to contact the parents before any charges would be laid.
The principal did that as well as proceeded to expel students involved in the incident Tuesday through to Wednesday morning.
Tuesday, the school was made aware of the 2nd incident (gang rape with broom). The principal identified the victim and met him. The kid asked the principal to help him explain what happened to his father.
Based on the guidance provided by the officer the previous day about 1st incident, the principal contacted the victim's parents and was advised by the boy's father that his mother was out of town and would return Wednesday morning at which time he would talk to her and get back to the principal about the incident and next steps.
The community officer returned to the school Wednesday as he had heard about the sink incident expulsions and wanted to follow up on the incident itself.
While the officer was there, the principal showed him the rape incident video and informed the officer that he had already contacted the victim's parents and was waiting to hear back from them.
Lots more details in between the above that completely contradict what the media has reported to date.
So before people lash out about a cover up to distract from this horrible incident, perhaps wait for facts to come out.
Don't let your hatred of Catholics and wealthy people blind you from the truth.
These details will be reported by the media soon, but you can take it as fact.
Trust me.
And what exactly does that clip have to do with this story?
