Mississauga, GTA, Ontario.
It seems as though police are really starting to crack down on pimps and human tracking which is AWESOME because I'm against these men that force or convince woman to work and make money for the purpose of providing these men with an income. I think its absolutely disgusting. While checking into my hotel yesterday, I saw a younger girl being questioned by police about if she had a pimp or not. I've also seen signs lately regarding human trafficking etc. Do you think the feds are finally doing more about these woman who are victims?

In my 6 years of being an SP, I've never seen this much efforts into helping these woman and I think it's great.
I still don't understand why the average awesome hobbyist gets scared to hobby @ hotels and in general?
These feds are only looking for pimps and that sort of thing especially under age girls.
Whats your opinion on this matter?

That’s great and more effort needs to be put into this in order to protect these girls and put the asshole traffickers in prison where they belong.

I know that when I see an escort, I want to be confident that I’m having sex with a consenting adult and not raping a sex slave and removing this horrific aspect of the industry as much as possible is a good thing.

As far as I know, Bill C-36 still exists so even if it isn't being widely enforced, hobbyists are still breaking the law. The other scare tactic is the possibility, although remote, of being caught by your significant other.

I absolutely agree that going after pimps and traffickers is great. I do this stuff to have fun. I don’t want to victimize anyone else to have my fun. The people who do that shit are absolute scum, honestly worse than murderers in my books.

That said, I’m very wary about this sort of thing because historically, they haven’t gone after the right people. From a legal standpoint, it seems like governments tend to go after sex workers and their clients directly, rather than trying to create laws and regulation that will make the situation better. It seems like politicians are more interested in appearing tough on trafficking by busting hobbyists and other such ineffectual methods that are purely for show than actually trying to improve the situation.

^^^^^ That's the problem for sure. They often go after the wrong people.

With it being criminal for men, I understand the fear completely.

I prefer working from home for a few reasons and one is not being accosted by police or having my clients questioned. I know it doesn't happen often considering the amount of hobbying going on any given day but it is still something that worries even me when I'm touring.
