Apparently having the puny penis man on ignore is saving me some food issues. Which is great because you don't get Fabulously Full Figured saying no to cookies.
As for Pride. I think weather and lack of need are the reasons for pride low attendance. As stated, many younger kids just don't face some of the same issues that older generations had to fight. Celebrating PRIDE vrs active prostrating which is what it was before.
Don't get me wrong, there is still more to go. There are still aspects that need working on. Trans rights need more focus right now for example. However it is more celebration now over activism.

This...they became too political and BLM got involved...I always get invited by my friends (same sex married) to go. This year I declined and told them I have my reasons and politics is one of it.
yep...my kids say my ribs are the best they've had...ribfest are not the place for good ribs...just for the party and meet other friends...best ribs are made at home.

In the early days we used to go down to check out the female spectators. Between the great weather and the casual party attitudes, there were a ton of hot scantily clad women watching the parade. We tried the New Orleans trick and started to give out bead necklaces and were rewards appropriately. It was fun. I haven't been in years though.
Caribana is even better for women watching, the crowd is more friendly and in this case, I even watch the parade. Problem is the huge number of people and challenge getting around and into venues.
I went down later in the day to meet friends from out of town, their a gay couple from the UK whom I've known for years and they try to come here just for the parades ... they were saying not as many people this year but the number of naked gay men walking along Church St had increased.. I did see a few early on but later the number of sighting increased. Luckily the children were no longer around by then but you could tell that many people were steering away, giving looks and making comments.
