Did they volunteer Are they paying them substantial salary and benefits? News to me.
Well, at least it probably doesn't smell as bad in the detention centers as it does on the space station. Roomier, too.

Plus, I think they would call the astronauts that entered illegally "stowaways". They probably don't get paid.

Trump:

"If you're really, really pathetically weak the country is going to be overrun with millions of people.

"And if you're strong then you don't have any heart. It's a tough dilemma. Perhaps I'd rather be strong."

Wrong again, it turns out.

Gym mats on the floor, tinfoil blankets and cheap takeout is "… better than most americans"? "Most" would be about 175,000,000 Americans; no wonder they're so afraid of a few thousand poor Venezuelans taking what little they have left. Who knew 'most' Americans are so destitute.

The puzzling thing is why they voted for a billionaire who golfs on their dime instead of doing something — anything — about that awful level of American poverty you described. How is caging kids making any of that better?
Maybe better than most Mexicans would be a better standard, and likely where those kids will end up.

Perhaps hairflip will ask that we send them to Canada?

Don’t blame Trump

Blame the parents of these children. They knew what they were doing was/is illegal.

End of story

Cheers

It's OK to do bad things as long as someone else is bad first. In fact you get to do even worse. Got it.

The president can, through executive orders, define how laws are interpreted and under national security he can do whatever he wants Congress can stop him ,,,eventually This is what Trump has done through executive orders. He has directed how the law is to be enforced and this is the result.
The President doesn't decide what is a "crime", as you put it. Or were you just exaggerating for effect?

Since the President has recently done as notty described, whether that included "…decid[ing] what is a 'crime'" seems moot. But I don't see where the boi put it that way at all.

He could do worse.

From what I'm reading, the humanitarian situation in Central America is out of control.

I get it that you don't like Brown people and you're happy to see their kids killed by gangs though.

It would be a good time to segue into Trump foreign policy.
Could start with a discussion of the fact that Trump is dropping a bomb somewhere every 12 minutes.
Oh, and less then 2% of those killed are those they targeted.

If you are committed to a world where inequality is the only and supreme definition of success, then the 'losers' will soon come knocking, then pounding, then breaking down your door.

If you want them to stay home, where they are, you'll have to find some way to run the world so they can feel like 'winners' too.

You may think it's like some sort of game when your airplane has a gold-plated toilet, but if you have next to nothing, and the money you worked all day to earn buys less when you get it than when you started the day, and thugs want to sell your daughter to pimps, it's anything but a game.

And so you start walking. No matter what dangers lie ahead. They cannot be worse.

More civilized and politically and morally mature countries (like Scandinavia, Holland, Germany etc) have realized that the road to real prosperity is paved with equality. When the tides come in, all boats rise.

Melania has perhaps the ultimate "Let them eat Cake" Moment in recent American history. She wears a jacket saying "I don't care" on her visit to the Kiddie Koncentration Kamp.

Deliberately dismissive? Moronically tone deaf? Did no one speak to her about it beforehand???

At times, the Trump presidency is so bizarrely surreal that anything and nothing could be possible. Is it a bad dream? Are we living inside a Trump matrix? Do we know what reality is anymore?
