"Hi, I don't know if you remember me, it's [MY NAME]. We tried to get together at your place before. Are you available tomorrow?"
I'm leaning towards saying that it's a headhunter that is referred by a family friend, so that could explain away the informal introductions. "We tried to get together at your place before" is going to be problematic to explain though.

Completely off topic but I'm so curious. I don't have children, but I was a little taken aback by this. Do parents and teachers chat and text nowadays? That seems very stressful from the child's point of view. I still have terrible memories of that days leading up to parent/teacher interviews and when the school tells you they mailed out report cards.It was my kid's teacher regarding homework. It was a new feature this year. Middle school yet so I don't know about high school. Texts come to parents and students indicating homework which is also connected to an app called Remind. And yes (blush) you can text back to the teacher! Gone are the days of the flimsy excuses like My dog ate my homework.Completely off topic but I'm so curious.
