I use the Chelsea as well, it’s huge with multiple elevators. So I don’t find I stick out, plus lots of food choices. I have never had a problem there. Plus lots of hotels downtown have a keycard
downtown Toronto the delta Chelsea is definetly the best choice and known for all the sps who use it. I haven't used it in years but if I ever decide to make a trip downtown I would choose the Chelsea. good location, busy enough to be unnoticed and close to shopping/food.

Based on my personal experience (mostly staying there myself occasionally visiting) Yorkville Marriott, HI express on Carlton, Chelsea, Toronto Hilton, doubletree, Sheraton centre (except maybe club floors) intercontinental, Park Hyatt, Westin Harbourcastle all do not have keycard access to elevators. Cosmopolitan, royal York, ritz Carlton are the only ones I’ve stayed at downtown with keycard access to elevators. All of these are acceptable places to stay, that span the price range. I’ve been to all of these places within the last 5 years, and most within the last 2.

I do laugh how things have changed. Those of us who have been on this board for a while will remember that the Chelsea had a rep as one of the lest “friendly” hotels.
Yep. It used to be probably the least escort friendly hotel in the city at one time.
lol yepp.. another good one that was sp friendly was the holiday inn on yonge and college street... not sure if they require a key card now for late night access to elevators but I remember when I used to stay there they didn't.. can anyone confirm if the holiday inn uses key cards for elevators?
hopefully make a trip DT myself soon . would appreciate the info.
