My mother always said 'fly low and slow and ease back on the throttle in a turn'!!
Don't think easing back on the throttle in a turn is good advice in a plane, when you turn you bleed speed, and you have less lift so you kinda need to stay on the gas in a plane when turning...especially when you are slow.
