Schneider better than Andersen, from October to NY's Day, probably. Schneider has often wilted in the second half which is why the Canucks deemed him expendable. And Andersen is three years younger.
Who cares? Schneider was never an option for the leafs. And Schneider "wilts"? Care to prove that with, you know, PROOF? Like the real world works.

Anaheim deemed Andersson "expendable". How did that go for them?

Les Habitants are sucking wind and history may repeat itself. Price could go the Patrick Roy route.

Why keep him? The team will be a disaster for a while. Trade him for some young prospects and picks. They are in dire need of prospects and Price, at this time, will get you a nice bounty.

And just who exactly would be in the market for Carey Price?
A 30 year old goaltender about to start an 8 year, $84,000,000 contract, which pays him $30,000,000 over the next 2 seasons?
With a modified NTC in his contract, as well.

Probably 1/2 of the league. Don't play expert. You won't win this one. This is a guy who can take any decent D in front of him deep , if not win, the Cup. He has the exact same contract as Toews and Kane and who the fuck would pay that money to those two? Some one did. Price's cap hit will never be above 7 million so any rich team can grab him

Habs will have to eat some of his contract if they want to get rid of him. But I think Price is a Hab for a long time.

If I were the Leafs I would certainly want Price over Andersen in a heartbeat. Salary is no issue, just the cap hit ($10.5 million) and who you might have to give up to get him. With the solid young nucleus that Toronto has, draft picks can be given up especially when Toronto will be picking in the bottom half over the next decade. These will not do Montreal any good. They need good NHL ready prospects now. Toronto may have some they are willing to give up but probably not enough to get Price (Andersen would have to be part of the deal to get rid of his $5 million cap hit). The biggest obstacle will be, does Montreal (management and fan base) want to give Toronto an excellent chance to win the Stanley Cup and become the next dynasty. I don't think so.

Congratulations you've learned how to ask for proof when someone says something you don't agree with. Make sure you have proof next time you make another one of your ,,"expertise" opinions, ok ?

And don't forget to wipe that egg off your face before you make another prediction ?

Quite to the contrary, starting with the 2018-19 season, Carey Price's cap hit will be $10,500,000 for the next EIGHT years.

We've figured out that you're not very good at math, so I'll help you here, that's 50% more than $7,000,000/season.

This is all peaches & cream, if Toronto is not on Price's No Trade list.

Then there's the matter of fitting Carey Price's cap hit into the Leafs structure,
with 3 very large contracts to be settled over the next 24 months or so.

WOW!!! Aren't you SOOO special.....but in an autistic way.

Both Toews and Kane have a 10.5 million cap hit on the Black Hawks. They sign people fine.

Connor has a 13.5$ hit. Oilers sign big deals fine.

Leafs can easily handle that contract and Montreal can eat some of the cap hit ...or let me guess, you don't realize how that works do you champ?

And Toews' contract is a disaster (not to mention Brent Seabrook's).

Connor McDavid's cap hit (starting next season) is $12,500,000, not $13.5M, but nice try.

Just why exactly would the Canadiens be interested in trading their best player to their oldest rival, and paying part of his salary?

This is of course, if Carey wants to be traded to Toronto, who knows which teams are in his NT clause ?

Regardless of who he was/is a fan of, he was an obnoxious troll then and he is even worse now. He already has verbal diarrhea so it is time to stop feeding the troll.

DO NOT RESPOND TO IT. (It is not a him.)
I'm surprised that of all people you were the first one to respond to a new Leafs thread started by this obnoxious troll.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem getting into any legitimate discussion with her/him/it once it's cleaned up her acts and shown some respect to the other posters, but starting a new tread trying to create a controversy on a non issue was clearly another attempt to troll.

Matters are going swimmingly in Leafsland. So much so that Superfan Steve Dangle now has a new studio for his podcasts. Obviously I didn't link the latest airing.

The near impossible just happened, the worst team two years ago are now the favorites to win the Cup. The Leafs are 8-1 favorites now.

Not sure if it's a good thingas with the attention Matthews and the gang are getting, all teams are gonna bring their A game when they play the Leafs.

Although I Leafs fan, I get no satisfaction from the plight of the Habs. As a teenager, I hated the Broad Street Cheap Shot Artist with a passion. With no Stanley Cup win for the leafs in my lifetime, the 1976 Stanley Cup Final remains my fondest memory. That's why I've always found it difficult to hate The Habs - I hold the Sens in disdain - but not The Habs.

Sweetest picture ever taken!
