This is where I see an issue, with as they say, "the usual suspects" shilling and bumping the shill or otherwise, reviews to the top. In this case I see that a heavy hand needs to come down on the players with deletions and bannings, the likes you've never seen before (insert mother of all and biblical for reference).

As far as SPs go, I think it's an important community service to keep the unpaid advertisers area, which is the Backpage and classifieds area. Here's where the brethren find out about how bad it is out in these playing fields, which helps educate newer members to the scamming and poor service that is out there. This in turn leads them to the Agencies and Paid advertisers (Indies) which are the most reliable.
Excellent idea. We will spend much more time in the massage review section monitoring it considering thats where the biggest problem is. I like your "mother of all " reference, maybe they will get the point that shilling is unacceptable here.

Members can also help out by reporting any suspected shill posts or shill posters by reporting the post to the Mods using the little triangle located in the lower left corner of each message (to the right of the words "Blog this Post")

How to report a problematic post to all the Mods at once

There is a triangular shaped icon (bottom left of every post). Use that to report a problematic post, or a problem to all the TERB Mods.

Is it worth also targeting those reviewers who are suspected of asking for discounts for positive reviews? Though I imagine this would also be very difficult to enforce, it does seem like another source of shill type reviews. Would it be worth asking that members never disclose they are members, the same way that food critics used to be very secretive about their appearances lest restaurants give them special services if they were identified?

No. They have not paid to advertise here in quite a while. Beginning of the year or so. We kept their banners up in good faith hoping that they would eventually settle their account, but they did not. It had nothing to do with the posting change . I wont get into it publicly. Its not our style. We wish them all the best, they were long time supporters of this community.
Ok. I knew they were, as you said, long time supporters of this community, but I didn't know they independently decided to stop advertising here. I just saw their banner on the landing page last week, and now it's gone.

As i said. We kept their banners on the site for months hoping that they would settle their account. Correspondence with us was mainly ignored. Apparently they have an issue with the membership (community) here. Time to move on, enough said. It is their business where they decide to advertise. We wish them the best

Perhaps a suggestion should be for members to support ( frequent) the establishments and Indys that support and make this community possible. Not mandatory obviously, but just a suggestion. And honest reviews of your experience whether good or bad are welcomed.
This seems wise on the surface but then you are basically saying support advertisers because they pay, not necessarily support advertisers because they are good. The advertisers pay to get certain privileges, mainly the right to post official ads. They should be satisfied that people who don't pay can't formally advertise and ad threads/posts are deleted. I know changes aren't being made but this should always be the position.

Advertisers should be making sure what they advertise is good/great. Reputation/goodwill/positive reviews will always happen if clients are repeatedly happy.

Can't prove/enforce anything. I usually contact most SP's via Terb PM so they know I'm on here. Many ask for handles and I've had some indicate they've read my reviews which I want so they know what I'm like.

Cannot prove or prevent shilling, just like you can't do anything about "fake" positive reviews. How many reviews make a lady seem much better than she is because (1) dude had low standards (2) he got or paid for extras or (3) infatuation/bias?

Let patrons do their own research, read multiple reviews, and make decisions for themselves. I've personally invested time and money in certain ladies who have terrible reviews and I have totally different/great experiences with them. So reviews sometimes don't give the full picture.

I've also been to some MP's and after wonder how they stay in business, let alone garner praise from a number of reputable posters. Is this all shilling?

I would suggest you support us, the readership. We bring the numbers that get you advertisements.

Only catering to the advertisers makes for a boring board and you'ld be choping off your nose to spite your face.

Costco doesnt piggyback off of other peoples advertising. I think you just made a valid point for the advertisers though. You can look at it from both sides............This is a review board and should not discriminate against any reviews or why allow non members to be reviewed and get free exposure at the expense of paid advertisers.
This site is useful because it has the potential to tip off readers about the whole gamut of Toronto's escort and massage scene. If it becomes less than that, it will lose readers and maybe another site will fill the void. Apparently the real Fred did not cotton to this idea.... what would he say?
