BMW M4. On pure performance alone. Then you factor in the 3 year's maintenance plus the fun youthful sexiness of the BMW brand and to me it's a no brainer.

Full disclosure: I presently drive a M Series BMW and previously drove a Mercedes E class sedan. I get many compliments with the beamer and not as much as an acknowledgement when I drove the Benz.
For the record, Beamer refers to BMW motorcycles. Bimmer is what BMW cars are called.

That said, my choice would be BMW, Audi, MB in that order.

Seeing high end cars sitting gridlocked crawling on the DVP or 401 is rather amusing as well. Almost as much as seeing them caught in speed traps. If your driving one of these to work every day as a daily driver then you really haven't achieved "fuck work". " playin 24/7 "status Your just posing you wanna pretend your there.., but you're not. Your still driving to work every day. Lol

No convertible drivers buy them for the winter. The convertible is a summer car. They don't care about the winter with the convertible. They buy something else for the winter.

Having owned and driven AMGs/M/RS cars - A few points that might help:

If you are a gearhead and care; the Mercedes is 8 cylinders with a real throaty sound. The M4 is a 6 cylinder with fake sound channeled into the cabin to compensate.

The BMW is leagues ahead in handling. However, that is best suited for the twisty roads of Europe, not the straight roads we have in North America.

Audis have the best interior. period. But, are notoriously maintenance prone.

Lastly. Buy Japanese. Lease German (to within their bumper to bumper warranty).

I had a early 60s Vette that was stolen from a garage when it was getting detailed, the cops chased it and the thief rolled it into the ditch .. convertible, summer use only ... was a write off ... the thief was in bad condition afterwards... so any ideas of driving convertible/softtop for me are a big NO. Still think about the car all the time.

That really sucks VBB, what a shame. My summer ride is an E93M 6 MT which has a deployable roll bar - I have always wondered about it...hope it actually "deploys" if it is ever needed! As for it being stolen, I don't worry about it too much as most peeps can't work a MT :)

The most beautiful production car on the road today. (And my daily driver is an Audi A6. Which is a fine car, but it's not a Jag.). To me, the F type is the car to have.)

The vette was MT as well .. trans had to be replaced before I took ownership along with a Hurst shift as the big block engine was modified as well as a few other parts over the years but a true muscle car with a bit of an edge.. the thief was professional and had staked out the vehicle .. he no longer steals cars or does anything physical anymore due to the injuries he sustained. Used the insurance to get a 69 Camaro SS ... hardtop ... don't take it out as much as I would like, low kms, but when I do people turn heads. Wife hates it.

That's a nice ride you have there it's fun to let a beauty like that loose on the highways sometimes as they handle very well.

I may go with the AUDI RS5 Convertible (S5 version).
AWD for all weather, and i'm still waiting if they updated the speedometer.
Everything is digital now( big 10" LED display for everything), but this one has has
last years analog (needle) tachs....eeewwwhhhhh (old school).

Audi needs to re-do its interior, if i have to wait for another 10-12 months, i will pull my hair out waiting.

Recently drove a 2017 M4. Sexy car, but I wasn't too impressed. I would lean towards Audi, however I think all the german muscle cars are going downhill fast as they eschew their traditional V8 engines for V6's. It's just not the same.

I think all of the more powerful lux cars are turning to turbo v6's, even Infiniti is going that route, due to US fuel mileage requirements. CAFA

Recently drove a 400 HP Q50 turbo 3l V6,... and it made almost as much a torque number,... one quick 4 door sport sedan.

Im finding it hilarious that some of you think the c63 is useless in the winter. I have been driving my c63 in the winter and not an issue at all. I live in the suburbs as well. Lets be honest here, our cars have so much technology plus the roads do get plowed. It isnt an issue

Obviously you slap on good winters like ws80 and dont drive like a retard.

Winter is actually my fav time for the c63, really works the handling. There are amg academy courses for winter as well. Quite exhilarating what these cars can do. Amg cars handles winters just fine.

Well the 2018 RS5 is due in the first quarter of 2018. Not sure if the convertible variant will be released at that point.
Personally dislike the digital dashes as I really do not trust the long term reliability/durability of the screen, especially for a component that is critical.

and put a hundred or two kilos of ballast in the trunk? I had an 8 cyl coupe (I think it was clk500 or something) and it was a shitty winter car, or I was too lazy to learn to drive it properly

Nah no need to weight it down at all. Seriously the technologies in these cars help fix so much human error. With all traction controls on, it takes work to spin out. The clk500 is a much older car now compared to what we have in the lineup now. So things have def improved.

Althhough i have to say, the clk500 is a sweet car :). Still looks great to me

One area that ppl mess up on is when they depress the pedal. People that slam down on it will lose control vs people that depress gradually
