If I am Colangelo, I would trade Fultz, Embid and 3 first rounders for Irving.

The 76ers would quickly bring the youngsters along with such an adept player at the point.
That's a drastic move. I think Kyrie is amazing but he's also been injury prone. I'd hate to give up youth for a player that has missed quite a few games. I'd definitely trade Irving for players already 27 and over.

But for Cleveland it appears as though its for only one year, and then he's gone. So start rebuilding now when you can get something for Irving, and maybe even Lebron.
They'll be lucky to get anything for Irving. Trades for superstars rarely net any decent return. Take one more shot at a title and start the rebuild next year.

I don't think the Boston offer was bad. Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder and a draft pick. I think when you trade a superstar, you're trading the "now" for the future. In that trade they get a bit of both. If that rumour was accurate.

Did a search on this as I was surprised that the Celtics would trade Thomas, all I could find was speculation that Boston might consider making this offer. I am not saying it didn't happen, just that I can't find it as a firm offer.

Until the trade happens, it's just a rumour.

Wonky, agree Kyrie has a lot of talent, but, can he carry a team? How many games did the Cavs win last year without James? Kyrie is surrounded by a lot of talent. Not sure how he would look on a have not team. So far there does not appear to be a lot of interest in him, either the Cavs want too much or teams don't see him as the leader he would have to be to carry a team or maybe both!

He's good no doubt, but not a superstar. Plus he is only a one way player. His defense is so shit.

apparently the Suns are interested in Kyrie, they offered Eric Bledsoe, Cavs want Bledsoe and the 2017 pick, Jackson, so far, not happening. Another story: Cavs offered Kyrie to Minnesota for Wiggens and the Wolves turned them down.

Kyrie's ego must be suffering, not much interest and what there is, appears underwhelming!

As I read articles on the potential of trades for Kyrie, I am starting to think there is more interest than I initially thought. I have read that as many as 20 teams have expressed interest, the Raptors are reported to be a team that hasn't. The Suns are reported to be offering Eric Bledsoe, Dragon Bender and a first rounder for Kyrie. The Cavs still want Jackson. 5 other teams are reported to have made offers, the Spurs, Clippers, T-Wolves, Knicks and Heat. No indication as to what the offers were.

May have to withdraw my underwhelming statement.

There will always be interest in a Top 10 player. Kyrie will go somewhere but will be over valued wherever he lands. Good luck to him...

Wasn't Kyrie doing a pretty good job with the Cavs before Lebron brought his talents back from South Beach?

The idea of carrying a team is an outdated notion these days the formula is to have 2 stars to be competitive and 3+ to contend for a ring.

I think the problem Kyrie is facing is the same as Lowry.... only certain teams (typically bad ones) have the space to pay them what they want. Kyle stayed in Toronto because it was the best deal plus a decent team.

Alot of teams were interested in kyrie until he said he will not commit to whatever team he ends up traded to at the end of the season

If a team wants Kyrie, Cleveland expects them to give up 1) a starter, 2) a player that will give the Cavs "help on the wing, and 3) a first round pick. Sounds like a lot for a disgruntled player!

looking at the Raps roster, starters look decent but the bench has a lot of question marks. Biggest question mark is Bruno, will he ever look like he may be a player?
The young guns are going to get an opportunity to show what they have and they will be counted on to perform on both ends of the floor. If they don't Raps are in trouble.

I think the Raptors are going to have the same record OR worse than last year. It just doesn't look like the roster has significantly improved.
