IMO JV is not a good ball handler or passer, which may be the reason why they don't feed him the ball to kick out. If he gets it inside he usually tries to put it up. For his career he averages .7 Assists per game.
IMO he can be an asset if he continues to develop that outside shot. From what I read he isn't as dedicated as Lowry and DeRozen. He needs to become more of a gym rat to improve to the level that the Raps need him at if they are going to succeed. He also needs an attitude adjustment. If he takes all the media criticism personally he may just put forth the effort that is need from him for both JV and the Raptors to succeed!

I think the Raptors Should trade DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry for Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson. That would be a win-win.
DeMar and Kyle get their best chance to win a championship and we have a wicked point guard that we can build around for more than 3 years.
As I understand the article, Kylie is indicating preferences as to where he would like to play, and Toronto is not on his list. Spurs TWolves Knicks are among the teams mentioned.
Think this will be a tough trade to make as Cleveland is going to want quality back and the other team is going to have take on Kylies contract.
Kyrie doesn't have a no-trade clause, so he'll go where ever nets Cleveland the best return. As far as trading for Thompson... I'm not a fan, but this definitely makes no sense unless JV is already gone. Otherwise, teams know that has to go, and his value is diminished more than it already has.
Anyways Kyrie just breathed some hope for the rest of the Eastern Conference. Based on the chances Lebron returns to Cleveland after this year, I'm glad Kyrie did this. Lebron wants to feel like he's the GM of theirs team. Well this is his doing. He doesn't think the team owner cares about him? Well now he gets a taste of what it's like to appease everyone's best interest, not just his own. It appears Kyrie thinks the same about Lebron as Lebron thinks about Dan Gilbert.

I wish there comes a day when a star player has Toronto on their destination wish list when they make a trade demand, so far it's never happened. There's some chatter that the Knicks are looking to trade Melo for Kyrie, which is actually not good for the Raptors because then the Knicks would suddenly be among the top teams in the East.
Lebron doesn't need Kyrie to get back to the finals though, he can easily get there by himself in the weak East. Anyone remember 2007 and the scrub Cavs team he led to the finals on his own?

Centers are always the biggest victims of lazyness cause of their height . They were often the biggest players growing up and
their height was the only talent they needed ..Then when they get to the NBA when more then just height is needed to keep a job they are asked to work at their game for the first time in their life .
Jonas is a total gym rat and very committed.

Oh hell no! That would be worse than the carter trade. Tristan is way over rated. Maybe if it was kyrie and love
Kyrie looks great with all the guys, including James around him, how good would he look on a team with a lot less support? No question, he is a talented player, but can he carry a team?
Lets just hope he gets traded to the west lol, then we would only have to worry about the celtics.
At 2.1 million on a 1 year contract, he is not being paid like a #1 guard.
While Irving has asked to be traded, the questions remain, will it happen?, if so, to who? for who/what? and when?
If Lebron doesn't lock in for another 3-5 years now, the Cavs should start rebuilding now with this Irving trade. Get young players and draft picks. They don't have to abide by Lebron's agenda. If he's leaving then start with Kyrie. Get young, and if Lebron doesn't like it, he should go now too. Why work around Lebron??
Because Lebron puts butts in the seats, and any team that he's on has a chance to win the title.
If I am Colangelo, I would trade Fultz, Embid and 3 first rounders for Irving.
The 76ers would quickly bring the youngsters along with such an adept player at the point.
But for Cleveland it appears as though its for only one year, and then he's gone. So start rebuilding now when you can get something for Irving, and maybe even Lebron.
