No argument from me!
MJ the greatest in my eyes!
MJ also played in a much more physical NBA. in my opinion the Warriors would not have won a championship in the late 80s and early 90s. The successful teams played a very physical brand of basketball!

Curry may have merely been a three point specialist off the bench in the old NBA.

Excellent point. Fouls are called for dirty looks today where as in yesteryear you pretty much had to dump someone hard to get a contact foul. Listen to Rautins on the broadcasts he will tell you that a lot of todays contact fouls were not fouls when he played.

There is a report out saying Philadelphia has traded for the #1 pick in this years draft sending their #3 pick to the Celtics along with a future #1. Does that mean Philadelphia is out of the Lowery picture?

Yes it does, since they are going to draft Fultz who is a point guard, they will have no use for Lowry.

I wonder if Lowry will get treated like Bautista this offseason. He'll probably actually get offered something from another team, but I get this feeling he'll be settling in toronto with a salary less than Derozan but over 20million per year, and staying. Just a gut feeling. I think his max is much higher but we'll have to see what he's actually worth on the market.
Maybe its predictable for a year or two more, but in 2-3 years I can see Lebron leaving Cleveland, and Boston, and Philly getting much better with all their young picks. I can see Milwaukee getting better as they surround the Greek Freak too! The western teams have always been pretty tight, but that will slowly change too.

They could still bring Lowery in as a mentor.
I tend to agree with Wonky, think he gets a solid offer from the Raps, won't be max but it will be substantial. We keep hoping and thinking this team is just a couple of pieces away from being championship contenders, but if the Raps lose Lowery they will be further away as I don't see Joseph and Wright getting it done!

I just read that the Raptors have zero chance of resigning Lowry ... I say to that ... Thank goodness ... The fact we have zero chance says how ungrateful he is to the Raptor organization or the city that voted him into the all star game .. His next contract will be based more on what he has done as opposed to what he will do . His talent is unquestioned but his attitude has always been a question mark .

Lowry will sign with the Sacramento Kings for a near max. Dude is all bout the money. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Wait a sec..... choosing to go to a better team is not a reason to deny the greatness of a player.

Whether Durant played for the Warriors or the Washington Generals you would be able to see his talent.

Rings as a measurement of greatness is flawed because winning a championship is more than just about talent. Not everyone is lucky enough to be on a championship caliber team.

People talk about MJ and I love the guy to death. He's the reason I love this game. But when he was on hiatus pippin was a force. They were still a playoff tema without him. Remember when he came back with 45 on his back? That was during the playoffs.

I think the true mark of GOAT players is would you want to build a team around that player.

Wilt left to go to the Lakers and so did Kareem. They are still amazing players and their legacy is intact.

We may end up with Kyle.... his options are narrowing but that also means his price tag is dropping. So could work out well.

Porzingas is on the trading block..... lets trade JV and some other players/picks!

Paul George could be a one year rental before he goes to the lakers. BUT let's say we get him and we do well.... say Finals appearance. Would that change his mind for the next year?

Jerry West is probably going to do his best to make a team that Lebron would like to join...... but where is Chris Paul going? Will he stay or is he off to San Antonio?

Lowry act reminds me of Joey Bats ... He in his mind think teams will be lining up to sign him but when realty hits he will be coming back after eating a little humble pie.

Rockets claim they are going after him. Are they serious or are they driving his value up? If you are shelling out 20 million plus per year for a player it won't be long before you are in luxury tax territory.

Say yes and do a sign and trade get Beverley and another player .. Just don't give Lowry a 4 year 30 million contract . In the NBA sometimes who you don't sign helps you more then who you don't sign .

Lowry and harden will not mix well together since both are ball hogs. Spurs woild be the perfect fit for him but they will not give him what he wants.

Does Ujiri have a slightly skewed preference for players with an African background? This kids looks pretty good, and the reports say he was top 10 if he hadn't gotten hurt. Between Tucker, Powell, Delon Wright, Ibaka and the Rook, it looks like the Raptors are definitely valuing defense! Does look like OG will be ready to play late in the year.

If Lowry does leave and we get nothing in return, we might just have to trade DeRozan to the Lakers too and concentrate on the rebuild.
