I think a vitamin D supplement in the winter is a good idea.Vitamins in general are kind of a scam. You should be able to get all the vitamins and minerals you need from food. If your diet is bad enough that you need supplements, they aren't going to help much, if at all.
That's basically it. Humans survived, evolved, and thrived without factory-made vitamins. There's no solid evidence we need or benefit much from getting more than is available in a decently balanced diet. Even the Vitamin D we make from sunlight hitting our skin, is available in liver, eggs and fish, and it's long been added to most dairy products in norther countries like Canada, not to mention we should all be getting outside daily, even in winter.Vitamins in general are kind of a scam. Plus,...some people have a natural B12 deficiency,...which also requires supplements.
But much more than that,...as you stated,...eat right,...but if you look around,...doesn't look everybody is.
Drinking or eating shouldn't make a difference. That's why if you have your jaw wired shut and and are on a liquid diet you can survive.
