Canadian high school girls being lured into sex trade

It would be interesting to see a racial breakdown of these pimps. There may be specific cultural elements involved in why this is happening. The girls are usually being targeted by men in their community. "Somebody's daughter" by phonse jessome was an interesting book on the subject, it focussed on the Toronto/Halifax pimping ring in the 90's.
Although human trafficking is a big thing and I am not saying it is not but the girls always have a choice. If you read the article carefully it says " At that time, I didn't try to understand what was going on," she said. "My friend promised me all these things that I felt that I needed — a stable place, money in my hands. It was kind of part of me wanting to do it and see if I could get something better, and then a bigger part was that I was already there and I can't really say no anymore."
A part of her WANTED to do it because she wanted to se if it benefited her.
In the end of course I assume after they took all the money she realized it wasn't worth it and then probably notified authorities once she was at home. I understand if she is FORCED but this girl WANTED to go. Her friend just opened the door. What people fail to understand is that unless the guy is putting a gun to her head and forcing her to stay she has the right to leave . She could simply notify clients when they come and ask them for help. Although that is likely to happen because most clients wouldn't know what to believe and probably wouldn't want to be involved in it.
Its really sad that guys think its ok to let girls who are 17 and still in high school be in the sex trade. I know that if I had a son and he did that I would probably give him a good beat down lol. Girls are just as much fault as teenage boys are. They all have choices. Guys choose to "pimp" younger girls because they think they are "vulnerable". While this is true that article clearly states that she willingly got into the car. She did not have to get in the car especially with two boys she didn't know.
I hope the girl is getting through this alright. It can definetly take a toll on you emotionally.
If anyone thinks a girl is underage they should definetly contact crime stoppers or at least the actual police/ vice squad and have them look into it.

I personally don't think it has to do with anyones race.. PIMPS are PIMPS. that is it. There are Asian pimps, black pimps, white pimps, indian pimps, etc . I know if you go out west to alberta and Saskatchewan there are tons of girls who are being pimped by the natives. I was completely shocked when I heard this but I had a friend who went and worked out there and she told me it was EXTREMELY DANGEROUS for out of town girls. Especially if they are travelling alone. Its really sad but this is the adult industry and these things do happen..

PIMPS like when their girls like cocaine or molly (mdma) because then they are so loopy and out of it that they don't care what they are doing and they are to mellow to bitch at the pimps. Eventually they become addicted to the drugs given to them by the pimps and then they develop a habit. That is when it becomes more difficult to leave the industry. You have got to think about how many sps ad say PARTY FRIENDLY ; that means their is a high demand of clients who enjoy doing drugs with the girl they book. Pimps don't care if their girls are on drugs , they are just in it for the money.
& who do you think are their drug dealers? their pimps are their drug dealers! working girls don't have time to go scavenge the city for drug dealers when their pimp can get them everything they need. It may seem like I'm being harsh but this is the reality of the situation
I've been working out west for years. There are lots of native gangs. But the Asian gangs and of course the 81 are pretty big there too. Out in Toronto though, I would suspect that white street pimps would be the minority, just based on the different demographic breakdowns and the amount of poverty in certain specific ethnic communities. All the pimps in the book that I referred to are from a black gang (north prestons finest). I am guessing that broader your definition of pimping is, the more white-collar suburban type of pimps you're going to encounter.
I agree with what you are saying . I was just pointing out that grouping pimps into a race is NOT a good idea as some people might get offended even though we know the statistics and facts , sometimes its just better to leave things alone.. I have heard about north prestons finest who bring girls from nova scotia and new Brunswick and many other maritime provinces over to Ontario, alberta etc so that they can be forced into the sex trade.

Drugs are the effect, not so much the cause. The girls would most likely have to meet certain criteria. Not ever female would become involved in prostitution as would not ever man become involved in their hiring.
This isn't the audition for playboy.. Its sw's were talking about there is no "meeting certain criteria" . If you look on backpage you will see ALL TYPES of women, fat, bbw, skinny, rail thin, transgender, bi , les, you see it all. There is no audition men hold that say " how are you going to make sure you are going to make us money? " LOL. If girls are a little over weight and might want to lose weight they might ask their " pimp' for drugs to help her lose weight ( ig. cocaine ) and then she can become addicted to it depending on how much she is given and how much she likes it. Your right not every female enters prostitution but a good portion of them do ! and there are many many many pimps out there. How do you know one of your favorite girls who says shes independent does not have a pimp ? Just think about it for a second. You know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the girl you are seeing. Not all girls that enter into a pimp-worker relationship are on drugs although a good portion end up going there. Although you mistook the context of criteria as being physical, I was referring more to emotional and psycological.

It is extremely hard for the average customer to spot a girl in trouble, the problem become compounded by the reality that most customers when they suspect something won't get involved. Then you need the co-operation of the girl who for the most part are reluctant

" Obviously in this case they have come to an agreement to split the profit because she Is using him as security.

Yikes - your comments are frightening sweetiepieexo. Do really think it would be hard to convince a young teenager to have sex for money? (or even anything for money?) Sure she has the CHOICE but is she mature enough to understand the CORRECT choice? I doubt many 14-15 year old girls do.
