Correct, the oceans are saving Canada. But we also have taken very few refugees, which is nothing to be proud of, especially as we have helped create some of these refugees.
About 300,000 over twenty years. Or about 1% of the population. Add in regular immigration and I'm good with that.

We have a great society here, based on immigration. But at some point for societal stability you have to limit the amount. Especially when you have a generous social safety net. Go beyond it and you risk upsetting the balance.

It's call intelligent managed immigration. It would be really dull if we are all blonde blue eye white folks. I like the diversity.

However, even Canada has fcuked up with 3 groups. One group is very prominent in the illegal drug trade. They have since been joined by another illegal drug group and they are now killing each other. Can't mention the third group because political correctness.

Canada has been checking the refugees carefully so it doesn't become a dump like Denmark and Germany. They're past target.
LOL, Canada would be a loot better if it had dumps like Copenhagen, Munich and Frankfurt.

LOL That's why you're living here rather than there, if its so great go back to Denmark. I'm happy with the way Canada is screening the refugees rather than the open doors they have in Europe.

Nah, I think I will go to Italy. The climate is better there.

Without reading this thread I'm going to assume that it's full of posters lamenting Germany's (and the EU's) open-arm policy to refugees, particularly Muslims, and several counter-posters, Fuji chief among them, exalting the benefits of immigration...just like every other thread of its kind.

The fact is that immigration is good for developed countries. Diversity is good. But immigration of people with radically different fundamental principles is bad.

Pretty much covers reality.

And the underlined statement, has been proven to be correct far too many times,...with the resultant human carnage in the EU.

What useless stats. How about a frame of reference? Like a timeline?

I'm guessing 2001 - 2014. Excludes the recent attacks in Europe, but includes the single biggest terrorist attack recorded in the US which killed almost 3,000 people.

Why is that useless, when posters are universally blaming the terrorism on refugees.

What about the US being too easy on Saudi visitors?

Another possible massacre stopped.

Australian police arrest seven suspects allegedly planning Isis-inspired Christmas Day bomb attacks

Police in Melbourne have arrested seven suspects who were allegedly planning a series of Isis-inspired Christmas Day bomb attacks in the city.
The seven had planned attacks on Melbourne's Flinders Street train station, neighbouring Federation Square and St Paul's Cathedral, Victoria state Police Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton said.
Mr Ashton said police had been watching the alleged plotters for some time, and believed they were preparing to use explosives and other weapons.
Police said they believed the threat had been neutralised through the raids on Thursday night and Friday morning.

About 400 police officers were involved in the raids.

Mr Ashton said police had gathered unspecified evidence in the raids that the plotters were planning to use explosives in their attack.

"We gathered the makings of an improvised explosive device," Mr Ashton said.
He added: "Certainly [there was the] potential for quite a number of people to be injured or killed in this attack."
Mr Ashton described those arrested as "self-radicalised" and inspired by Isis propaganda.

Victoria state Premier Daniel Andrews said there will be extra police on the streets of Melbourne on Christmas Day to make the public feel safe.

I don't know how many "workers" Canada needs because we don't make much stuff anymore. Anyway, here is what I see personally and in my business.

I recently saw a short video of a Canada Goose factory and I initially thought the factory was in China because all the workers looked Chinese.

Many or most construction workers in Toronto (and probably the rest of Canada) are Russian and Portuguese.

100% of my employer's IT department are East Indians.

100% of my employer's accounting department are Chinese.

100% of our truck drivers are Tamils.

Many Filipinos are in the medical field.

The Koreans have cornered the 24/7 convenience store industries.

I could give more examples.
The warped ethnic defined world of rockslinger.

Don't the injured count? How about traumatized witnesses? Family members of victims? Drain on medical services. Redirection of funds that could help refugees into security apparatus.

All things that occur from these incidents. Deaths are just the tip.

The police in Milan Italy are reporting that Anis Amri the "suspect" (finger prints, DNA, and paperwork of his in the cab of the truck) in the Berlin Terrorist Attack has been shot and killed after getting into a shootout when he was stopped as part of a identity check (having needless to say matched the description of the Berlin Terrorist), sadly he seriously wounded a police officer.
