Needless to say Christmas is about the Nativity.

However, it is just plain nasty to act the way he did not stressing the Christ in Christmas, but rather smashing children's joy in Santa Claus.

Coming from an extreme Protestant tradition, also means that he never tried to tie Santa Claus into Sinterklaas- Sint-Nicolaas - Saint Nicholas.

Yes the religious mentality is crazy , they should let the children be children

Muslim Cleric Incites Children to ‘Slaughter’ Christians and Alawites in Syria. A video recently appeared of an Islamic Sunni cleric in Syria inciting Muslim schoolboys, most of whom appear to be between the ages of five-twelve, to hate and kill Christians and others.

stinkynuts, I have seen kids texting to Santa all the time & we know the post office certainly recognizes Santa Clause! Poor Santa has got himself in a few predicaments answering kids's texts!

Yeah, Santa is fake, but Jesus totally was real. Man, it's difficult to roll one's eyes while barfing.
We've been over this a thousand times before. Pretending that there are serious scholars who deny the historiology of Jesus, merely confirms you as a flat earther.

I don't think he meant that he wasn't a real person, but that he was not some divine being.

If one can deny Jesus even though there are scholars who say otherwise.
What about denying climate change where an overwhelming number of scientists (all over the world) believe it is real, would that make someone a square earther? :hail:  :decision: :flypig:

The world would be in a much, much, much, MUCH better place if religious extremists were gone from the earth.
That includes those trying to convert others and those that refuse to change or adapt to new environments they move into - I don't care what faith.

The 'flat earther' comment implies your proof on the existence of Jesus is a factual reality. Tying facts to religion is a rocky road to follow. Religion is based on faith - if you need factual confirmation then your faith is obviously in question.

Even in modern times is not uncommon to have faith strong enough that factual reality is either ignored or twisted to support it. Take Trump supporters for example .... :peep:

I don't believe it is love of the Lord that motivates this guy. He is lonely and his soul is filled with hate. He revels in the pain that he causes to these kids.

If you say something often enough, you will believe it is a fact.

PS: Is it not a strange coincidence that the birthday of little baby Jesus was determined to be on winter solstice, the time of great celebrations in northern Europe?

Everyone with any exposure to Biblical scholarship knows that December 25 is a "baptized date" indeed the very reason why Puritans, Friends and Separatists did not, and in the middle case do not celebrate Christmas. Likewise that Jesus was born between 6 and 4 B.C.

Biblical scholarship --- that is an oxymoron if there ever was one.
