IMHO Gery Oldman is just as talented as Daniel Day Lewis, it just took him longer to transition into prestige roles. George Smiley (Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy) changed the landscape.
In 2017, Oldman will appear as Winston Churchill in The Darkest Hour, about the British Prime Minister's first year in office.

Indeed. The list of actors that belong in Oldman's company is a short and specific list. What the public regards as 'actors' are usually just 'performers'. The characters these performers are portraying are basically a washed out version of themselves. There is very little craft involved in this presentation at all.
Oldman, Jeon, Darin, Streep, Leung, Day-Lewis, Penn are truly actors in the proper sense of the word. Through study, research, introspection and ...talent (yikes!), you become this particular character on the page of the script. A complete and individually separate being from yourself. As an actor, it's your job to find the core of this being and project that on screen or stage. There is no such thing as a 'Character Actor', it's just Actor. It's akin to calling a musician an 'Musical Musician' because - gasp - he can play an instrument!
Is Chatty Man (Allan Carr) available on BBC Canada?
The lineup for his Christmas Day Special has been announced and the ever reclusive Tom Hardy is taking part. Most of the list of entertainers I've never heard of. Also actors from Star Wars: Rouge One are taking part including Ben Mendelsshon.
Mr Intense.. Clint Eastwood, I find the music in these early westerns to be very intense. The good bad and ugly final showdown ...the trumpet starts screaming at 1:45.
The trumpet here is legendary, Ennio Morricone's music is the backbone of these movies....At 0:55 the trumpet starts in wonderful crescendo as Clint starts walking. Gian Maria Volonte' is also intense.

Well said Senor Draper!!! Gary Oldman deserved an Oscar long ago. Even his Lee Harvey Oswald, albeit a small part, was the best portrayal of any of the real figures in Oliver Stone's JFK. I also like your choices but IV and others picked good ones too.
