Smuddan said Interesting west coast trip starting tonight. Maybe Kadri will be a target in both the Oilers and Canucks games ?
Congratulations ! You got that all figured out, you've gotta be the smartest Leafs hater on this board.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are the worst Toronto sports team ever. The leafs missed the playoffs 10 out of 11 past seasons. The Leafs has a overpaid head coach and overpaid management. Former Leafs players were treated badly by the media and fans. Players like Phil Kessel. James Reimer and Dion Phaneuf were treated badly. The Toronto Raptors, Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto FC are currently doing a lot better than the Leafs, at least one of those teams will win a championship before the loser Leafs. The Leafs will never win the Stanley Cup ever again. Leafs are Losers since 1967 LOL

The hardest, most difficult championship to win and you say that they're losers...

The Cup is the real end goal, but mixed in there have been some pretty successful seasons and had it not been for a high stick by Gretz, that was missed by Fraser...

And now it's time for Kenny Blankenship's Leafs rumour of the day!

The Leafs are interested in Dougie Hamilton - no thank you, we've already had Luke Schenn.

But....but...but.....rebuild.....but ...but....but....Number one picks.....but but...BABCOCK!!!

You are 100% correct but you are also arguing with the dumbest fan base on this planet. The TML are one of the wealthiest teams and also one that doesn't care how the team does. Why? Tickets sell regardless. ballard knew how dumb Toronto fans are and would say it and current owners also know this fact...they just don't say it like ballard and his wife did.

That's your opinion. NFL, MLB,NBA,World cup etc. all disagree.

Your argument is sooo flawed. With a championship MLSE's profits would dwarf what they make now. And management knows it. Maybe the dumbest fan base also has the dumbest critics.

They already are a cap team so building a winner costs the same as now. No risk, all reward.

A few points:

1) I will throw in the odd 1967 post. (50 year anniversary BTW which does bring a smile). But IMO the leafs are absolutely headed in the right direction. The past does not predict the future, and the Leafs are finally investing in strong management (and I think the right management). They have taken chances with new school thought, but brought in some old school at the same time. And of course they got the best coach in the game. I thought a few years ago there may be too many chiefs, but they seem to be handling it well.

2) There are many biases here and smart people who can turn facts into their favour, whether intentionally or not. So JJJ, please bring some logic or actual facts to the table. Right now your comments are pure nonsense.

Agreed. There is no cap on ticket prices. Furthermore given that MLSE is in the communications industry, a winning team generates many other streams of revenues for the rest of the parent companies.
