Actually the debate has gone on for so long and that's why it's costing so much. Fact is the cost is reasonable so you can vett vips, heads of state, etc. As well as upgrades to heating, air conditioning, and wiring, plumbing while at the same time keeping it posh.

Add in security and yes the cost is fine.

Imagine what they spend on the White House each year. If you want to be taken seriously internationally you need to do things like this. It's part of the game. And the financial benefits can come back.

Also remember that most of the cost is labour. So that is good jobs and a portion going right back in as income tax.

So I'm good with this.

Which is the same situation, Buckingham Palace hasn't been renovated since World War II. Some of the Lavatories (and I'm not writing of those in the private quarters) haven't been updated since before then!

They have been deferring this for ages. It's an official residence so whether they build a new house as smallcock suggested decide to get it renovated - do it once and get it right.

During its first 75 years, 24 Sussex Drive was associated with three lumber barons of the area. Apparently, the Trudeau Liberals want to allow expatriate Canadians the right to vote even if they are out of the country forever.

Question: Does this mean a baby born in Canada and quickly returned to a foreign country can vote in Canadian elections for the rest of his/her life?
