unfortunately did not catch the entire conversation yesterday but the Bobcat and skinhead were discussing the possibility of D. Cousins being acquired by the Raps from the Queens. Biggest concerns were team harmony and what would he cost in talent? If the Queens trade Cousins they are packing it in so Carroll Sullinger and a draft pick? To me the biggest concern would be the team harmony, is he worth the risk?

Better sooner than later I hope Masai puts his signature moves on the team. The team has had good records since he took over three years ago but that has mostly to do with the maturing of the core of DD, Lowry, JV and Ross which was inherited from Colengelo. He's made some good moves, like the trading of Bragnani and Gay; the acquisition of Biyombo was good but more luck than foresight or he would have signed him for longer terms. Drafting has been disappointing except maybe Siakam.

Siakam ... You can put on Norman Powell on that list and too early to tell on Jakob Poeltl

The one thing about the NBA I like is signings like Carroll are only 4 years long ... Two more years to go .....
I've seen most of the games and Carrol hasn't been great but he doesn't seem to be a liability. I find every time we go on a run or need to keep the momentum going Patrick Patterson throws up a brick. I've just never seen him as a 3 point threat. Its more of a relief to see him ever hit a 3 pointer. He's shooting 36% and 22% from 3. Hi mechanics are just bad. He shot 1 for 6 against Cleveland and 1 for 3 from 3 point land. We lost because of Patterson. I have no doubt about that. The next night agains Golden State he shoots 28 and 33%. I cringe every time he puts up a shot. Demarre Carrol is 43% and $40% that night. Not amazing but he's not a liability like Patterson. I keep hearing that Patterson does all these nice intangibles. Without offense we don't get to to the NBA finals. Too many one dimensional players wont cut it. Against New York Patterson is 37% and 29% from 3. Against Charlotte Carrol shoots 57% and Patterson is 20 and 28% from 3?
Why are we picking on Carrol who might not be 100%. Patterson is killing us and healthy as far as I know?

Some good points Wonky!! I can't dispute your numbers but IMO, while you want to see some offense from Carroll, his primary responsibility is D and I don't think he is as good as advertised. Now if he is injured that could have something to do with his performance. At the moment we are getting limited O and less D from him, and that is not good enough! Patterson on the other hand has given the Raps very good D but the O is awful. His first year here he hit the 3 consistently enough that you were happy to see him put them up. Last year I thought he dropped off and this year when he throws one up expect to hear "CLUNK"!

The last 2 games the team D has been dreadful.
Nuggets tonight. They damn near beat the Raps in Toronto so the guys should know this won't be easy.

Much needed win in Denver. If they were a better team Patterson's OFOR night would have meant the loss. They talk about how Lowry showed up real early and got his shot going. No mention of Patterson putting in extra work. He's killing us at times.

Agree Patterson did little, Joseph was worse, -11 and had no clue what he was doing out there. Maybe Wright being close will motivate him. Take the win, thank you.....now on to Sacramento tonight, need to come up big and get that revenge for the home loss.

Dawg, getting ahead of yourself! Didn't want to c u on the couch tonight having a "wtf where is the game?? " moment when the game will be tomorrow night....:bolt:plus it would be just unfair to play 3 babktobacks in a row,no?:thumb::wink:

Hey, first game of long trip, coming off highs from last games, playing at altitude : all that makes this win a good win regardless of how they did it. PP really needs to decide if he wants big money soon. As mentioned a few times he seems to heat up afterXmas every year...I'd rather he not wait this year! And Dawg, the TRoss bandwagon may have room for one more..!!

So what you are trying to tell that today is not Sunday! Duh! Hate it when I f*%K up! LOL ...Bonus I get to have the sound on, game is on sports net 1!

Leave room for me on that Ross band wagon, not fully there yet, but he is improving every time out. Can't say the same for a couple of other guys. Thought Joseph was awful last night. They dressed but did not play Wright, that might give Joseph some incentive. There are a few guys that need to get to the gym and start putting up shots including free throws. Raps were abysmal from the line last night.
Queens will have to face Jonas, not as easy as Bebe and Jakob. Sacramento never knows which Cousins will on show up on any given night. I would love to see his skillset in a Raptor uniform just afraid he may need a head transplant first.

How could the game end on an official error ? Shouldn't the inbound play be retaken if the clock wasn't started properly by the official?

Its not the first time the raps got screwed playing in sacramento, i remember last year when lowry got call for an offensive foul that couldve possibly costed them a win

Yes the Raps got one stuffed in their wazoos, however, if they had played a decent second quarter it would not have come down to a last second shot. D may not be fun or pretty but it wins games. Casey has to just as pissed at the defensive effort as he was at the garbage ruling/call/whatever!!!!

From the television replay the clock did start before it hit the floor off Boogie's tip. That couldn't have been more that 4 tenths of a second that they are adding on. From the time it left TRoss's hand there was about 8 tenths of a second. So even with the error the shot was still on time. I have a bad feeling the league doesn't want the Raptors in the playoffs this year again???

Perfectly said ... It's like the officials were trying to be human game clock ...
How could any human being accurately tell the difference between 1/10th and 2/10 of a "ONE SECOND" ? Besides, who's to say Ross couldn't have looked at the clock and could still get the shot off if the time was started correctly?

The game is tied and play overtime and let the basketball gods determine if it was a good or bad call ...

The NBA is fuckin joke. It's a 2 team league that caters to it's 2 stars (LBJ and SC). Does anyone really think the Raptors have a chance at a Championship?
