I'm not shocked that he was charged, I'm more shocked he's stayed in a job for broadcasting. After his shitty late night talk show, I can't believe anyone hired him. Then again it was AM talk radio, it's not like anyone's is listening
Seems that way too.I could never stand listening to this guy on the radio. His schtick just didn't work for me. OTOH, I always had a thing for Cynthia. How in hell did he ever get her? IMO, she's out of his league...
He and Jian Ghomeshi can start a new show (sorry, sick joke - I don't have anything against Bullard - may he find peace within himself and move on). Thanks for the info oagre. It's too bad, because I really enjoyed listening to Bullard on the radio. I guess his radio career is over now?
Not unless there was a complaint made and some kind of warning or peace bond in place which was violated. So calling your ex 3 or 4 times constitutes criminal harrassment now??

Yeah my bad, I just read oagre's post. Not unless there was a complaint made and some kind of warning or peace bond in place which was violated
Good Lord. Did Tony Rosato ever sue the Crown? When a promising career stalls out the aftermath can be hard. In that sense Mike Bullard has had it relatively easy.

That's one way to ruin your career.
Why? If there are 100's of text messages (as alleged), presumably these would be very easy to prove. The Crown simply prints them off and shows them to the judge. After 3 months in the system, the cops have done enough basic prep for the case to know if the messages are there or not. It's not a he said / she said.If he only called her "3 or 4 times", I think this is way overblown.
On the other hand, who knows what the truth is. You know what they say, there are 3 sides to every story. His, hers and the truth.
For now, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Let it come out in court what transpired. But if he only called her 3 or 4 times, I don't feel that is harassment. (Yeah, yeah, I'm sure that the definition of harassment is now something like "unwelcome attention".)
Everyone was so quick to lynch Ghomeshi and that all proved to be a pile of steaming shit.
oagre, I totally agree with you. Why? If there are 100's of text messages (as alleged), presumably these would be very easy to prove. The Crown simply prints them off and shows them to the judge. After 3 months in the system, the cops have done enough basic prep for the case to know if the messages are there or not. It's not a he said / she said.
You're a lawyer, so I presume you've seen lots of cases where the cops are in the wrong. Why? If there are 100's of text messages (as alleged), presumably these would be very easy to prove. The Crown simply prints them off and shows them to the judge. After 3 months in the system, the cops have done enough basic prep for the case to know if the messages are there or not. It's not a he said / she said.
Seems as though she realized this after the fact.I'm shocked by this.
What is her problem?
She could've done much better than Bullard,
When I heard about this, I couldn't believe they had been together.I'm shocked by this.
What is her problem?
She could've done much better than Bullard,
Excellent advice. (I've got to remember that word "misfeasance").Does not surprise me at all.
Bullard is an arrogant narcissist. The internal implications of being dumped and then not being able to persuade his way back in was his downfall. I've seen this happen. In fact, it happened to me when I broke it off with a hot girl. She was indeed hot, but was batshit crazy. Drove her fucking nuts that I broke it off. She really did harass me by trying everything from promises, to threats agianst me and to hurt herself and more.. and it culminated in her making a complaint to the police about ME harassing HER! Fortunately I had not erased my cell phone call log (this was back in the days of the Motorola Razor!) and there were some fifty calls from her to me... and not one from me to her. And I still had her text messages. Fucking cops were going to arrest me anyways! And "let the courts sort it out" they said. Fucking lazy fuck douchebags. Told them that BEFORE they actually "arrested" me that I would come in to the Detective Office with a lawyer friend of mine to talk. My lawyer friend is a prominent civil litigator. Advised both cops that in light of the evidence, their "misfeasance" if they charged me and letting the "courts sort it out", would result in a huge civil action against them personally. ONLY because of her prominence as a civil litigator and the certainty of the action being brought against them, did the cops "let me go this time".
Funny thing is that a few years later, a young guy starting out in his career came to my company looking for a job. I always am in on the final interview and when I recognized his unique name, I asked if his dad was Detective so and so. He was. I told him that I had a bad experience with his dad and I really didn't want to have anything to do with his family. Poor guy was crestfallen and said he had always had to fight against the problems of his dad being a cop, and being a DICK of a Dick. I felt for him. And he was an otherwise excellent candidate. So I hired him. Was a great hire, excellent employee. Never spoke of the matter again.
It's "malfeasance". Edit: Apparently misfeasance might also be ok or not..(I've got to remember that word "misfeasance").
