Is it just me or are their any regrets about the Carol signing ...
don't think it is just you...... last year he was injured, looked good before the injury, not so good after....but...."he wasn't 100%"...... this year should be no excuses....but.......?????? Is he healthy? or WTF?
Defense OK but not outstanding, scoring...not much. If the deal was right I would not be upset if he were traded.

I think powell is one of our best defenders. That kid has quick feet, he just has to stop getting baited into jumping

I think this year they have to push it and get something done at the deadline since lowry is 50/50 re-signing.

DeRozan had been unreal. Alot of people questioned if he was worth 27.5mil/yr, but he keeps getting better each year. I don't think this pace is sustainable, but the team is just riding his back while they struggle with the offence. Poeltl and Siakam have also given the team some good minutes. Ross and Powell also showed up today.

I'm totally pumped for this off season to see what Jeff Weltmam can come up with our two other draft picks.
I know it only 1st ten games of the season but DeRozan officially got number 1 points per game status ... A lot of big nights by stars in the league but DeRozan has been the most steady in his production

looked at the 905 roster, the only player listed on both the Raptor roster and the 905 roster is Bruno.

If Lowery is hoping to get a long term contract at 31 years of age, he may have to look elsewhere. I am sure no matter where he plays he will get a healthy raise, just don't think he will get the max.

Derozan is on fire! I like how he is penetrating more, lets just hope it continues through out the season

I can't see why not but maybe finish season with avg in high 20's. Ross again looks like he turned the corner and is earning that 11 milion dollar contract . Glad some guys are earning their contract cause Caroll isn't ... The bench is doing a great job ...

DD was awesome again! Raps play the Queens next so maybe he can extend the streak. The bench last night: Ross was amazing! Now can he do that on a regular basis? If he can he may be a keeper. Powell was decent and Poeltl put on a show in the first half. Patterson, good "D" but 0-4 from 3, Raps need him to score inside and out , Joseph got the fewest minutes off the bench, his numbers aren't bad but IMO he didn't look that good.
Carroll YUK! 0 points WTF?
Whiteside got away with a lot of crap last night, he should have have fouled out and could easily have been nailed for a flagrant or two. 16 R 21 pts decent numbers, forgot to check his free throw numbers, they were terrible!

I would give Carrol a break...

I feel a lot more comfortable with his 3 point touch than Patterson. PP needs to really get some work on his technique at the 3. He's gotta tighten his movement. Looks too much like a fling. Team looks great this year and pretty deep. Rookies have been vey dependable. If Ross is for real, we're going to look dangerous with our depth. No glaring holes on the defensive end other than getting beaten by speedy point guards like Wall and Irving, but they torch the whole league. Only better team D will soften that blow.

I hope that you're right about Carrol. But,Carrol has not lived up to the billing based on his plays since he signed with the Raptors. He claimed that he's still not 100% from the last surgery. When Masai signed Carrol he was envisioned a top 3 players attacked in Derozan,Lowry and Carrol. Then,Carrol went down in his first year in Toronto. Today,Raptors are hoping that JV would be part of the big 3's. Sofar,Carrol looks real invisible whenever he's on the court.

actually, when he threw up the back to back air balls, he was very visible. his D was off too, as he did not shut Gay down at all. he is either still hurting, or out of shape, or ??????. Something wrong there!

Nice statement win vs OKC. This team is deep when everyone is focussed.
Starting two rookies and still winning .. Cassey needs to also get his props ..

Another year and 4 teams in the Atlantic Dvision have started in the bottom have of the conference ( lottery teams )

Lose to the Queens then beat the Thunder WTF????? Carroll"s best game this year 2/3 from downtown, about time! Patterson 3/8 can live with that. Thought the Raps were done after the friggin' awful start, then they roared back. Good effort from Bebe and Jacob, a little short on skill set, but the effort certainly is there. Hope JV is back and healthy for the Hornets tomorrow.

Seven games in, almost tenth of season and the boys are 5-2 and 2-0 on the road. Losing to Rudy hurt but boys brought that on themselves with another Sunday evening washout! These Sunday evening games really doesn't sit well with these guys.

Good win last night with rooks and bench stepping it up. Looking at this group after 15 games together, defence is really solid this year as I see a noticeable difference in team D. After all these years, core does D intuitively now and newbies seem to be further ahead with their D skills coming in. Subtle improvements have made this a very dependable D group.

What this has done is opened up a transition game that adds more pressure to other reams. Their half court game is solid even if it still depends on 1 on 1 match ups. JVs steady growth has made him a viable option, KLo and DD will always provide buckets and if PP and TRoss can continue to step it up, and CuJo improves his three skills, I think scoring won't be issue.

all in all, it seems to be a good start. What's really working for me is this season has started off at same level last year's ended. No getting into it or getting their legs under them, just right into being competitive and smart. Maybe they will disappoint in typical TO fashion soon, but I feel this group will just get better as season goes on, especially when Sullinger and Wright get back in the mix. Where that gets us still remains to be seen, but we now get to watch a elite ball team go at it every night! When DD gets full respect,so will this team! Let's go Raptors...

Awesome win. I thought it would be a long night. DeRozan keeps on impressing. He's added the bank shot to his mid-range game. Bebe with a solid performance. Poeltl is looking good as well. Now, the Raps have quite a few trading chips for next season due to their depth at C, SG, and SF.

Fridays game against Charlotte will be a huge test; especially, for DeRozan who has the task of scoring against Kidd-Gilchrist.

Masai Ujiri Thanks Trump 'For Making Toronto An Unbelievable Destination'

Masai Ujiri responded to the United States' election results in which Donald Trump is the president-elect.

"I want to thank Donald Trump for making Toronto an unbelievable destination," said Ujiri.

"This country (Canada) has an obligation to show the world how peaceful and friendly we are," Ujiri continued.

The Raptors have re-signed both Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan in free agency in recent seasons and also signed DeMarre Carroll from the Atlanta Hawks in 2015.

Ujiri became general manager of the Raptors in 2013 after several seasons with the Denver Nuggets.
