Comey appears to have broken the law for having interfered in a federal election and could be charged criminally under the Hatch act.
Well if things work out as he and the republicans hope - he will get a pardon and keep his job. Comey ignored a request of his superiors not to release any details regarding a pending investigation without facts before a pending election. Any nuance as to jumping to a theory of guilt before any evidence is even examined is lost on the buffoon Trump and many of his reality show followers.

If the democrats want to join Trump in the pit - he has been accused of molesting a 13 year old child. Before it reaches court and the evidence is submitted, let's just assume Trump is guilty. Do you really want to elect a paedophile with a long streak of sexual assault to president ? Trump is a sexual predator, poor businessman and Putin's puppet.

Comer'on Hillary - go low ! You have the fat underbelly of the most disgusting, vile and unqualified candidate in history - think of the country in chaos - unload all barrels !

Really?

1. Who do you think the Director of the FBI is accountable to (who are his "superiors", who can remove him from office)?
2. Who do you think requested Comey not to report to Congress on Friday?

Think the letter was leaked, would you not go after the person who leaked it?
Comey's letter was sent to Congress. Congress represents the people. Barring inclusion of classified information in the letter, the people are entitled to disclosure of anything disclosed to Congress. That's the entire purpose of Congressional oversight. That's why his testimony before Congress was public. This was not a "leak" of information that was not intended for public view. It was intended to be shared with the public.

Technically, the letter merely supplements Comey's testimony before Congress, which was already public.

I suppose there are some people (none of them with any legal training, mind you) who would also characterize his testimony before Congress on these matters as "interference with the election". Such posters are best ignored.

Harry Reid is a lame duck at this point. Saw Governor Weld on CNN this morning. He said there wasn't anything that points to breaking the Hatch Act. So is all hyperbole on the part of the Dem.

Remember he wasn't the one who made the letter public. So feel free to blame the congressional leaders.

And above all else remember.

None of this happens if she doesn't have an unsecured server in her basement. And doesn't delete 33,000 emails requested by the FBI. As else follows these two decisions.
Yes Butler, it is HYPERBOLE, which Frank knows a lot about lol. This is a mere deflection to take your mind off the actual issues. Rumours are coming out of NYPD, that this is HUGE, I'm talking international child slave sex ring operations behind the Clintons

Point being it's all on the table for you to assess in making your vote, unlike the murky insinuations against Clinton being made by Comey. Now it turns out Comey has no idea what is in those emails
Wrong!! He had to have an idea what was written in SOME of those emails, or he wouldnt have re-opened the investigation.

What Comey said was he doesnt know whats in ALL those 650,000 emails.

Think the letter was leaked, would you not go after the person who leaked it? Should the FBI have ignored the new found emails, or tried to get a warrant to see the emails in secret?

What's your thought on people who cheat during a national debate?

The law and FBI policy as well as the legal advice he received was not to send the letter. Particularly when at the time he sent it no one in the FBI had even looked at these emails.

Wrong, he only applied for a warrant to read them on Sunday. If he had read them before that then the whole case gets thrown out for illegal search and seizure.

You can't go conduct a search and then after you think you found something go to a judge and ask for a warrant to justify what is already done.

Ok, ty, watching Clinton I got the impression the letter was sent to republicans and they leaked it.
No Kbear that was another Hillary Lie. The letter was sent to both Dems and Rep congress, not just the republican's like she has said in her first impromptu meeting.

All sputter. No content.

Take your "they want you to think" conspiracy bullshit to some 9/11 birther forum.

Comey received legal advice NOT to to send the letter as it's a violation of the Hatch law and a violation of FBI policy. He's more interested in influencing the election than in following the law.

I think there is a lot of content here, you just don't want to see it. You prefer your rose coloured glasses instead of reality.

White House: Obama doesn't believe Comey is trying to influence the election
http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/white-house-james-comey-clinton-fbi-230540

The White House said on Monday that President Barack Obama does not believe that FBI Director James Comey is trying to influence the election with his decision to review new evidence in the probe into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.

"The president's assessment of his integrity and his character has not changed," White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters during the daily briefing. "The president does not believe that Director Comey is intentionally trying to influence the outcome of an election. The president does not believe that he is secretly strategizing to benefit one candidate or one political party."

Here's the only content that any of us know for sure:

1. Comey doesn't know what's in the emails
2. Comey got advice that his letter violated policy
3. Comey sent the letter anyway

Everything else is speculation.

Comey found that Russia was trying to influence the election through the hacked emails but refused to publicize this because it was too close to the election.
Instead he went and made use of the hacked emails to influence the election himself.

FBI's Comey opposed naming Russians, citing election timing: Source
http://www.cnbc.com/2016/10/31/fbis-comey-opposed-naming-russians-citing-election-timing-source.html

That's clear evidence that Comey was selective about what was released in order to harm Clinton's campaign.
Now she's fighting Trump, the Russians and the FBI.

They did read some. That's how they discovered and had enough to obtain a search warrant.

Silly.
