Sure, the media doesn't control any kind of narrative.

Most papers are providing the stories that people want to read...I stopped reading newspapers a long time ago...they're too depressing.

6 corporations run the media, then we you look into who owns those 6 corps, you will see it's the 1 percenters.

YouTube is a platform, not a content creator, for one thing.

Second, people post whatever they record, whatever they create, a lot if garbage, a lot is really good.
Pretty butthurt eh? lol

What you might call 'kooks', I consider a source of truth. Face it, mainstream media misleads, and often work on an agenda.

A perfect example of this would be CNN and the Milwaukee Rioters. I watched live as the Sister of Sylville Smith called for an end to violence and pleaded for the angry mob to stop.
But that wasn't the truth at all. Some "kook" as you would call him, recorded her full rant and put it on YouTube. After saying to the mob not to burn down their city, she TOLD them to take it to the suburbs.

Why did CNN conveniently edit that out? Do you not see how valuable people challenging the media giants are? The manipulation is obvious.

Here is a video of that CNN event, and the sister.
Fuji is either simplistic and believes everything the gov't throws out there, or is working for them. Either way he is a neo Con shill. What he won't accept now is for the most part investigative journalism and independence in the mainstream media is mostly dead and suppressed. That's why it's moved to blogs and websites. They can be just as bad but many are trying out from under the big six's thumbs.

Humans are built to gravitate toward negative news......it sells.

If you put all the positive stuff in the media, people would stop looking at it.
the FULL truth is what we expect and should be given. Not edited news feeds to fit an agenda or story.

This coming from the guy who posts ludicrously biased YouTube videos as if they were truthful.

No news media can give you the full truth. First, they don't have the bandwidth. A daily newspaper with only a few dozen pages doesn't have the space to carry every possible story in full detail. A 24hr TV news channel doesn't have enough hours in the day either.

So you are going to get the subset of the news that each editor thought was most interesting that day, just for space reasons.

And is course what is most interesting is subjective. A Democrat is going to be interested in different stories than a Republican. An American is going to be interested in different stories than a Canadian. Etcetera.

So you have different media outlets catering to different people and you choose to watch/read the media that caters to what you think it's most interesting.

Well... In your case you go watch any damn fool thing uploaded to YouTube.

I wonder if CNN edited out "go burn the suburbs" because it would have been like pouring gasoline on a fire? Sometimes reporting the full truth could further inflame an already inflamed situation.

think you are right. sometimes facts are left out because of the damage they would cause.

would you want to be the network that incited a riot?

the problem when you seek out your own news source is your own bias comes out.

i have seen countless kathleen posts and she certainly has a fixation on black lives matter type stuff.

There already was a riot first off, but more importantly, they portrayed the sister to be peaceful when she was nothing like that. She was condoning taking the riots to the suburbs. Hello?! That's not telling a story, that's making shit up!
