How are you supposed to listen to your music without an earphone jack??
Apple's new EarPods headphones will connect through the Lightning connector port; you'll also get an adaptor in the box. Apple's also pushing new, funky-looking AirPods headset which connects wirelessly through auto-pairing, but I hear they only last 4-5 hours before having to recharge them.

It'll be interesting to see if this one works.
I thought apple was nuts to cut floppy disks, that was fine. They cut out cd/dvd drives and that's fine.
Bluetooth is still a pain, but then again so are headphone cables.

Clearly an incremental release. I'll be interested to see how the Airbuds (or what every they are called) work, if they've really addressed simply auto pairing between devices this could benefit the entire Beats line as well. I like the idea of a charger case, damn earbud cords are always twisted.....

i agree with this entire post. i cannot believe they removed the aux jack.
that is probably the stupidest thing they have done and of course as usual people will line up to buy it.
What's the big deal? You just plug the supplied ear buds into the Lightning connector port or use your existing ones with an adapter. I heard they used the room the aux jack took up to increase the size of the battery. Who doesn't like better battery life.

I believe i read that they will be coming with the airpods, for.people who want to use the new tech, but also with a lightning to aux adaptor for people who want to use their conventional headphones. if you are an audiophile and want to use your superior headphones, you will be able to..you just wont be able to simultaneously charge your phone
I've heard you're not suppose to use your device (Iphone or Samsung) while charging anyways, that's the reason why the cord is so short. You could ruin your battery. But then again my DVD manual said not to leave a disc inside when you turn it off and I did all the time without any problems.

Its great that Apple can convince people to pay 1200 for a phone it cost 90 to make, but there is no way in HELL i would buy one. I am even thinking my next phone will be a lenovo, amazing spec for under $200 usd.

Listening to music with headphones for 5 hours?????? Wtf???
Ever been on a transatlantic or transpacific fight?

Bluetooth headsets are nice IN THEORY but at least the previous generation of them were plagued with problems. They would not always connect and often you would suffer dropouts in your music.

Maybe the newest ones are better but I will wait to see what others say before giving Bluetooth headsets another try.

BT headphones are great for sitting in the bath and listening to music. But once you lose the adapter, game over, there goes $250. I've changed my mind on the airpods though, they look ridiculous, not going to get them. I've recently upgraded to the iOS 10 as well and so far I hate it.

It's time to start searching for a new phone. My current BlackBerry Z30 is coming up to 3 years old. It's got a decent screen, 128 GB capacity, great battery life and a good camera. It's never once failed me and considering I only paid $100 for it, it owes me nothing. I'm looking at either Android or iPhone now.

Since I like to keep photos, video and music on my device (not in the cloud), I want a minimum of 256 GB storage capacity. I also want a good camera, especially in low light. My current Z30 is about the same size as the iPhone 6 and Galaxy S7 but I'm thinking of going to the next size up this time. They typing experience is also important since I send lots of texts and emails from my device. My BlackBerry is great for this. I'm with Rogers.
Have you considered a Priv? Its a BB on Android, best of both worlds. Last year I was in a similar situation as my Z10 was actually almost 4 yrs old. It worked fine, but it was time for an upgrade. I can't support Apple for many reasons, and I considered the Samsung. The issue was I had TONS of stuff on my Z10, and the Priv, although Android, still a Blackberry and as such, made the migration from BB to Android "almost" seamless. About the only thing I have to transfer manually was my Blackberry Maps entries. I have buddies at work that went from BB to iphone, and they lost tons of stuff. Even the IT guys gave up on it... They would have to transfer everything manually.

Something to consider.

I've looked at the Priv and DTEK50 but they just don't do it for me. I've narrowed it down to the i7 Plus or Note 7. I do have a fair bit of info on my BB that I will have to transfer manually but I can take my time doing it.
