Who am I to tell them what to do with the money they fundraise?What do you suggest they do with the money?
I am sure there are lots of options, community support, providing legal aid to those racially targeted by police, awareness campaigns, education....
BLM raised serious questions and is in the process of raising awareness and trying to change the situation for the better.

I agree with some of this. I don't think basketball courts will help - such solutions will fail. Not only do kids grow tired of play and the courts become areas for gangs, but the focus is on games, sport, and other easy "fun" activities rather than the activities that are needed for success in a competitive world.How about money for schools, tutors and job training that could be accessed by anyone in yhe community? Make it about low income not race.
Tutors, job training, financial counseling, and head hunters. Train the kids and head hunt on behalf of those who are trained successfully so they get a job right away to start earning money. Provide guidance on how to save/invest and/or start a business so that the money they do earn isn't squandered. This builds work ethic, pride, self-reliance, and self sustainability.
These are the things that traditional parents offer their children, but that these kids lack. They often don't have a father guiding them, encouraging them, instructing them about money and hard work. They don't have a father coming home from work and teaching the a trade or skill. Providing these things to kids who don't have it at home is a solution with substance and will pay real dividends in the future.

Look to European countries with more equitable distribution of income and the costs to change the US, for instance.

But we were just discussing the BLM movement in the US and comparing how there is less systematic racism then the US at present along with less divide between rich and poor.

As a Canadian you only really need a degree and some relevant work experience to move to the US and work under NAFTA. Though, your boy Trump has promised to rip up NAFTA, which would potentially end that freedom of movement between Canada and the US.To be honest, I wish I had dual citizenship.
