Yes just spit it out, what are your thoughts of why they say no to "black men". It's not about mind reading, but if more than a few of them say it, there may possibly be a common denominator in all of it.
hmmmmm.......
Do 100 say "No black men because of X" as opposed to 30 for Y and 5 for Z?

Like I said before to someone else, if the cops really wanted to kill black people just for kicks, it'd be happening on a daily basis, however, black on black crime seems to be happening more so on a daily basis than cops killing black men.
We should be hearing about killings of white cops and black men everyday, but we're not are we? The opportunities are there no doubt. Just walk up to a guy, shoot him, it's done.
You don't seem to understand the point. I can't be any clearer, so either you're playing dumb or plain dumb.

Keeping their mouths shut? Could have fooled me after seeing some videos on worldstar, A WHOLE LOT OF shit talking going on it seems.
Ah, Worldstar is your gateway into every black 'community' in the USA. You can't climb any higher. You're already fully exposed.

There we go, victim card. I was waiting for that. All too easy.
You can't address the point so you label it the victim card. You sound like the guy who accuses someone of playing the race card right after they object to you hurling a racial slur at them. If you don't want the card played, stop sucking the deck.

But I thought they keep their mouths shut, so now they call the police waiting for 5 hours? Why call the police? You just said you can't trust them.
You think it's only black people in live in some of those communities? And you think all black people fear reprisals? Further, many have stopped calling the police due to knowing the score. I know you knew everything about these communities. Your local newsletter didn't brief you properly?

----and I have worked with black people and have two black friends.
Ditto on the score sheet.
All on Worldstar, no doubt. LOL. Do they know that you are their friend, stalker?

That sheriff just needs to get laid.
Or maybe he sees things for how they really are since he works on the front lines of this everyday. He's been in law enforcement since '78 and it looks like he's a Democrat (go figure - Wiki).

Are there bad cops? ABSOLUTELY.
Are they ALL OUT TO KILL EVERY black person out there? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Do they shoot and kill people if they feel their lives are threatened? YES Even white people like Dylan Noble -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCzTVw6_jg0
The stats speak for themselves and like he said and to top it off, the cops respond to calls made and that's what pisses him off.

I can't wait for more body cams to be on on cops all the time. Then we'll see the stuff that's going on.
It'll help keep people more honest on both sides.

As with the police corruption you are railing against, this issue is an internal one that has to be fixed from inside out but there is no easy solution.

You're right. I have the good fortune of having had nothing but comfortable interactions with police. As you say, in certain communities that is not the case. But why? Is it different hiring practices? Training methods? Specific directive from higher-ups to trample on the rights of blacks and others? I very much doubt it is any of those.

I would suggest it is the environments themselves. High crime areas are bring about more police and as a result, more confrontations with criminals. Increasingly tense interactions. More situations where police rightly or wrongly fear for their own safety and likewise citizens who fear for their safety from police. But it starts with the members of that community. The police don't increase or even maintain the same level of presence in areas where crime rates drop. They don't have the resources for it. Once the crime decreases the attention and police budget is shifted to other areas. You want to get rid of the cops, stop breaking the law. I know that is simplistic in a very complicated problem but it is an underlying issue.
Fixing the problem with the system, whether internally or externally, would be far easier than fixing the problem with very poor neighbourhoods filled with poverty and despair. That would take far longer. Poverty breeds crime. Not skin colour. You think it's the well to do whites driving White crime rates. Of course, the criminals in the financial sector is another matter. What do well to do whites dismiss them as? White Trash. Check the crime rates among poor Whites.

As to the culture of not snitching. That is also not a race thing, whether it's a rat (Italians) or a grass (British). Of course people are in those poor communities won't talk. Do you really expect them to? A lot of them want those criminals off the street but they take their chances in keeping their lives. You think the distrust between the authorities and those communities came about overnight?

How is getting criminals to stop killing other criminals and innocents going to stop police brutalising and harassing people or the system from punishing one group of people harsher than another set for the SAME offence? Then you have police who see people who are not 'supposed' to be in certain areas and then harass them. Their are COUNTLESS interactions like this. COUNTLESS.

If you think Police are only targeting high crime areas, boy have I got news for you. Hell, they target their own when he or she is out of uniform. When the blue is removed from the black...

I'm not so sure that will change under a broken, corrupt and oppressive system. But let's keep that system where corrupt law officials are not held accountable for their dirty deeds and incompetence.

Good to know that there is some sensible thought rattling around in there rather than the same old tired rhetoric.
Poverty breeds despair, resentment, hate and envy. It leads people to crime.

As you mentioned gangsters have been around since man started walking upright. The difference is that they have not been able to completely hijack their people.
With the explosion of social media, the vocal idiots that no one listened to before, now have a platform to spew their garbage, and a vehicle for finding others like themselves to
latch onto. As these self interested idiots start to band together, they begin to feel like they actually have intelligent thought. They are like the uncle/cousin at family gatherings that
always talks a bunch of nonsense. He/she shoots their mouth off, but the rest of the relatives are so tired of arguing with them that they just ignore it. Miraculously, since no one argues with
them, they believe they have won the moral ground.

If you are thinking "I don't have a relative like that".. Chances are you are that relative.

So let me break it down for you. Most of us agree that there are issues with police conduct, and that blacks are targeted for more scrutiny from police.
Most of us agree that racism exists and that many of us are discriminated against on a daily basis (including discrimination by age, religion, sex, sexual preference,
weight, the way we look, color of our hair (poor blondes, they suffer so much), etc.. ).

Most of us also agree that the statistics show a real problem with Black crime, and specifically show police violence against blacks is a very very very very small percentage
vs. black on black violence.

Having said that, most of us understand the implications of police violence against blacks and the concern of inherent discrimination, but we are confident that there are
enough good people on the police force (both on the streets, and in the executive offices) who recognize this problem, and we trust they are trying to solve the problem.
Regardless of our trust, we also know that we are a free and somewhat just society, and if the problems continue, there will be protests.

Most people are with BLM in raising awareness of the issue.

So what is really pissing us off??
1. The obvious vilification of the white race (its called racism).
2. The blaming of all the issues on our society, or on slavery
3. Liars, and lazy asses, and cowards... If you really care about black people, then you should be
protesting black on black violence 10X more than you should be protesting police violence.
Why is that not happening?
4. Liars and Lazy Asses, and cowards. if you are really against inherent racism, you should be including
all races who are victimized
5. Liars and Lazy Asses, and cowards.. you understand that poverty is a large part of the issue, but you refuse to understand
that a mentality that you are being victimized leads to despair and exacerbates the problem.
6. Liars and Lazy Asses, and cowards.. .... in your own post you seem to understand the problem. But instead of tackling the
problem, you decide that blaming everything on the police, the system or on slavery makes a lot more sense. The system has
some fault, but fixing the system will not fix most of the problems of black on black violence.

Conclusion: There are many of us who want to see real change in our society. Change that will benefit all races, religions, cultures etc.
People like BLM and to some extent yourself do more damage to that cause than the racists out there because we just get tired of listening
to BS, and turn a blind eye to it.

OMG what a video. I'm speechless. I love that Sheriff.

Now that is someone I'd like to see as president. Talk about no nonsense, and fed up. I was wondering how long officers could endure the hatred before one lost it.
Of course he's your hero. He's a black male who is willing to repeat the message that makes you feel comfortable and not have to put any thought into the situation.

Saw this last week, so I'll pose the question.

You'd stand up, right?

If she asked a bunch of white people if they wanted to be treated as indian, pakistinian, asian, jewish, italian, mexican you name it... there would have been the same reaction, or lack thereof.

Being white obviously has been and remains the most advantageous group to be in but that question proves nothing. Does she? She is asking a silly question that sounds compelling but really is obvious. Do rich people want to be treated like poor people? Do men want to be treated like women? Do attractive people want to be treated like unattractive unattractive? Employers like employees?

It's a question that makes white people feel a pang of guilt, makes black people say "damn right they don't!" and nothing has changed from this brilliant insight that white people -- and all people -- don't want to be treated like anyone who has fewer advantages than they do. Does Lebron James want to be treated like me? Of course not. Do I want to be treated like him? Of course I do.
Actually being a white male is disadvantageous. Being a black male even worse. All the others you mentioned is an advantage.

The difference with some of your examples is: being rich and/or an employer is something that is not a give at birth; Lebron James has/developed a marketable skill that has made him rich and if he didn't have that skill he wouldn't be in the position he is; being attractive vs unattractive is subjective; and yes, women have it worse than men, but that's the issue being brought up by feminists (and rightfully so).

Basically, your response basically said, 'White men have an advantage and we're not giving it up.'

No, my response is that this video you posted teaches us nothing. Generally speaking, white people do not want to be treated as blacks because there are more advantages to being white. I said so right in my post.
True. But the question(s) are really 'what, where, how, and why does it have advantages?' Also, it is very important to acknowledge the same regarding what and the extent of the disadvantages are for others (women included).

If you watched the entire video, you would also see Ms. Elliott question her audience as to why they seem to acknowledge a difference through their inaction but are hesitant to do anything about it or at very least acknowledge it through their words.

He does not offer any solutions nor any accountability for all the violence perpetrated by cops, sorry. They have been getting away with it for a long time. Now cameras and social media have exposed their lies. Police have always acted with unity to defend their interests and even to defend the injustices of their members. Now they are finally getting the negative feedback and tarnished reputation they deserve...not individuals, but as an institution. Still they resist any sort of change or accountability. I am not for the killing of cops, they may have been good cops, who knows. But I am baffled that police STILL feel they should be loved by society when there are so many cases of abuse by cops that are being highlighted. Police have acted entitled and arrogant throughout this whole revelation we have experienced in North America. Still no change, still no solutions, still no contrition. What kind of BULLSHIT logic is saying 21 blacks were murdered? That has NOTHING to do with a person being killed by a COP!! He is a moron.
Nottyboi, his point is that there's no outrage by BLM over the pre-meditated murders of those 3 cops in Baton Rouge.

I agree with him that BLM generalizes and paints all cops with the same brush. It doesn't help the situation and fans the flames (or adds fuel to the fire).

No ridiculous generalization there.
I don't take anything what this derrick guy says seriously. Dude has a big chip on his shoulder. Probably hates all forms of authority. Possibly he flunked out of police college :D

It's not just poverty that breeds crime because many immigrants came here very poor after worn-torn Europe, only to face their own discrimination too.

However, white Europeans were not visible minorities.

I think the black community had it harder and with systematic discrimination, it might've been harder to find a good job, which makes it harder to get out of the poverty rut.

The other factor that can breed crime, in my humble opinion, is the lack of a cohesive, family unit and an upbringing that instills decent values.
