This bitches life was in tatters after she was identified as the one that put a cat into a recycle bin. I hope the moose rider and his buddy get what they deserve.

So? They rode a moose. And in the season we shoot them. Are we going to start charging cow tippers?

If there's licenses out there to kill animals (the most extreme thing you can do to an animal), there should surely be licenses to ride an animal.

Please don't tell me the government has a "no touch" kind of policy on one side, but also sells licenses to kill animals on the other. lol

Can you explain ?
Cigarettes, gambling, alcohol, all stuff that is bad for you. TV ads, label warnings, help groups etc..... But still legal, because the government found a way to organize it and collect big taxes on it.

Weed is no different. Outlawed and shamed if someone does marijuana, but recently the government got into it with "medical marijuana" angle. So now suddenly it's not so bad anymore. The government found a way to dispense it and make money out of it.

Hunting licenses is no different. Horse racing, zoos, steeplechases etc.... At the end of the day, all pretty stupid things to do to animals. But if the government can issue out some policies and make taxes off it, they are happy.

If you want to see some really dumb footage, watch some clips of chuckwagon races and crashes. Retarded stuff.

I actually feel bad for laughing at the Moose one. Initially it seemed harmless and funny. But I then thought about the stress and panic it must have faced trying to outrun that boat.
Then to have someone jump on its back, would only add to the anxiety. The Moose could have broken a leg or run itself into exhaustion. Glad they found the ones responsible.

As for the dumpster cat that Ceiling Cat posted, that's is just mind numbing stupidity there.

I love animals, domestic and the ones I see in the wild, and can't believe the stuff people do sometimes.
I am not one of those animal loving freaks but I simply don't see how anyone can think that "initially" it was funny. Being chased down by the boat was the first thing that struck me. I can see maybe if the video started with the dude jumping on the moose's back.

Animals are chased by wolves. It's not like they live peaceful lives until some human jumps on them.

Wolves are a natural part of the moose's environment. Not a boat with a motor. Humans are capable of compassion, not wolves.

And it doesn't change the fact that the moose was in obvious terror from the first seconds, the point of my post.

Let's set the record straight for those who question the ethics of hunting. Most hunters are ethical and believe in one shot for a kill, thus not having the animal suffer. Chasing and harassing wildlife is a crime and puts undue stress on an animal. As others have pointed out, like being chased by wolves, it's a life and death situation for them. It is not fun and games, as this doofus thinks it was, by chasing it with a boat and then jumping on it in the water.
Before you go on about the legalities and ethics of hunting, unless you are a total vegan, you have no argument. Unless you have no leather products or anything that requires the by products from any animal, fish or bird, you have no argument. If your argument is that the animals that you eat are raised for such and are done so in an ethical manner, you are fooling yourself. These animals have no life and they suffer when brought to slaughter. If your argument is that the animal protein you get is purely organic, from free range animals, once again, you are a fool, believing in things that aren't real and no doubt you believe in leprechauns and unicorns too, as the only real free range animals who eat organic and are free from antibiotics and steroids are wild animals and you have to go out and harvest them yourself.

Yeah I don't support harassing animals like that. Yes they get chased in the wild but here's the difference. The wolves chasing down an animal is a matter of survival.

The guy in the video did it for just shits and giggles.

When it comes to hunting moose, I believe you have to buy a tag which entitles you to just one moose.

As for a deer in your backyard..... there's a number of things wrong with it. Do you have a licence, is it in season, what means are you using to kill it? Shooting a rifle in the suburbs is probably not looked kindly upon.

There is some hypocrisy when it comes to rodeos and bull fighting and shit like that. But unfortunately domesticated animals in the eyes of the law are often seen as property.

And why should animal survival trump human fun?

The tag system exists because otherwise we would hunt animals into extinction, depriving future generations of the pleasure of a moose ride.

You're right. If it's fun..... do it.
