Maybe worthy of a separate post but the Giants are foregoing the DH today and letting MadBum hit for himself even though the game is in an AL park...when was the last time that happened? If he gets shelled or injured early kind of mucks up the lineup a bit.

black booty lover is right. all of the unconventional stuff is the lack of confidence in the bullpen...possible unavailability of Grilli on Wednesday .......but he should have gambled on storen yesterday...even he should be able to hold a 4 run lead. And how come every other team seems to have no name middle relievers who throw 97?

I think it makes sense. The previous night, not sure, but there could be a reason. I don't pretend to know what Gibby is thinking.
I think you're brilliant and clearly have an in depth knowledge of the game that could only come from participation at a very high leve, but you're not getting the respect you deserve from others. You should fill them in so they will understand.
sorry, that actually wasn't meant for you. That was meant for someone else, but I'm too drunk right now to figure it out..lol

I think it was supposed to be for ulistar.

Conjecture: Sanchez will not make 32 starts this season. He will either be sent to the pen or go on the DL. Debate.

Not a bad start by Dickey, 7 IP-3 earned runs, once again good pitching pretty much always shuts down good hitting, great performance by Carrasco, :{

right now, Devon Travis is playing superbly...so why is the genius not starting him today?

He "was fortunate" to only give up 4 runs??? He gave up 4 runs period. Was it a good start?? No. Was it a bit better than most of last 8? yes. Now you hope is next start is a bit better.

now you hope he just another decent start. Doesn't have be quite as good as today's, but as long as he shows signs of improving you give him the opportunity to get back to how he started the year.

I say its time for electronic umpiring, the technology is there, as many baseball tv broadcast show the square strike zone and pitch location. An umpire can be behind the scene in front of a monitor and relay balls or strikes to the home plate umpire via earpiece.
