On my current iPhone I currently pay $65/month for 6 GB of data and a Talk & Text Plan with 150 weekday minutes and unlimited evening/weekend. It's a legacy plan that's no longer offered.
I'm looking at buying the new iPhone SE and am running the numbers.
Buying a phone flat out is $709 (I'm leaving taxes out of this). If I can combine that with my existing plans it works out to $2269 over 2 years and then the monthly charge is only $65 going forward.
With a 2-year plan it's only $130 but I have to get a new data/talk plan that would run around $105/month for 5 GB of data and unlimited talk & text. That works out to $2650 over 2 years and then $105/month going forward. In other words, RIPOFF.
Anyone know if I can combine my existing data and talk/text plan with a new phone if I buy it outright? Or do I have to change data plans?
p.s., Yes, I know Rogers sucks. But within the confines of Rogers, I'm looking at options.
