Thinking about watching Vanishing Point on Netflix this weekend. Any other suggestions for good car chase movies (preferably from 1970's)?

Agreed...but I'm looking for the real car chase movies, though...not a parody.

I'll post a review of Vanishing Point after I watch it. Maybe Bullit next.

If you want a great car chase attached to a great film watch The French Connection: Gene Hackman is the shits! NYC was a war zone back then.

A more recent vintage but "Drive" has several amazing automotive chase scenes.

mad max fury road is essentially on long car chase. a number of scenes were done with CGI, but lot of it was done without CGI. a rarity these days.

I wanted to watch Vanishing Point but I couldn't find it on Netflix, YOUTUBE, or itunes.

I'm just in the process of downloading Dirty Mary Crazy Larry from itunes...Will keep you posted.
