Yeah, that incinerator is really incriminating.

Like who buys one of those things if you don't have a huge herd of cattle?

Too bad about the young girl he almost certainly killed. Vulnerable and seeking help from him and he kills her when she becomes too much trouble.

Glad they caught him before he became a big time serial killer like Bernardo. A guy like Millard would not stop util he got caught.

this douchebag going to jail for life is the best thing that ever happened to his equally dumb ass loser GF. She is VERY lucky to not get charged.
She's a cute little slip of a thing, isn't she? What on earth did she see in him?

Didn't one of the GFs get a mild charge -- no deal -- which will be heard later? Smich likely doing a Hail Mary (ie. deal refused but try anyway) but sounds like this will be one where the jury sits a bit just to get a last free lunch and then bang both guys are down for murder one and new neighbours of the Colonel and Bernardo.....

Noudga charged with accessory after the fact. Meneses not charged with anything, other than having bad taste in men.

What I don't get is why it happened.

Seems like it would have been a whole lot easier and less bloody just to go to a Dodge dealer and trade the gas 3500 for a diesel one.

Millards GF is charged with being accessory after the fact, that is NOT a mild charge. She could get up to 25 years!!!

Its even dumber then that, the gas truck used to much gas so he wanted a diesel...WTF. to save a couple of grand in gas bills? Even if it was 5K? or even 10k? No it was just for the thrill. He's a serial killer. Bosma was #3 and Millard needs to be locked up for life next to Picton as a dangerous offender.

Near as I can tell the only difference between murder and accessory is the possibility of an earlier parole. I can't see how he gets less than accessory, which is life in prison.

Kind of raises the question of why he testified at all since he nailed himself to a life sentence.
I'm not a lawyer, but my guess would be that his lawyer advised him to do it in order to offer some sort of explanation to Tim Bosma's family as to why it happened. Millard's not taking the stand, because he may try to appeal if he gets convicted, so we won't get his version of events, ever. Lots of people have been asking "why not just take the truck & let Bosma go?", including I'm sure, Tim's family; if Smich is going down anyway for accessory after the fact, allowing the victim's family some closure may carry some weight with the judge in regard to sentencing. Accessory after the fact does not necessarily mean a life sentence.

I've been enjoying reading the tweets of Smich's testimony. Sounds like he's been well coached by his lawyers, and despite being a poorly-educated, white trash, drug dealing accused murder (and terrible amateur rapper) he's doing well on the stand and getting some jabs in at Millard's defense lawyer. Very entertaining.

I think his defence is trying to get it reduced to accessory after the fact to murder. Claiming that Millard pulled the trigger and that Smich didn't know it would happen. But he basically admitted to trying to hide the body.

Still going to the slammer for a long time even if that's true, and he certainly threw Millard under the bus.
He is going to pay for that in prison that's for sure. They don't like snitches.

Based on the finger pointing this has turned into, I suspect first degree murder convictions for both losers. The jury has no choice really. Smirch had every opportunity to go to the police, the fact that he did not is gonna cost him 25 years. Textbook loser. As dumb as they come...

Smich the Snitch ? A nice name for Bubba's new prison bride. It wouldn't surprise me if they weren't both in on it. Millard bought the 'eliminator' for a purpose and I guess at the trial of his missing GF we'll learn if Bosma's body disposal was not the first.

He's far more believable than Noudga was. Still think he's going down anyway. Noudga's trial is going to be really interesting.

I've become mildly obsessed with this trial, and the intersecting cast of characters involved in other related trials. Somebody on the web called it an Elmore Leonard story for the 21st century. Seems pretty apt, actually.

His "performance" might be ok, but his story isn't logical and the jury is going to hate on both of them. I think he is toast.
