Christian Tow Truck Driver: "God told me to leave disabled woman at the side of road"

the freedom of conscience cancer is spreading.

WLOS — GREENVILLE, S.C. -- A tow truck driver refused to a help a customer stranded on Interstate 26 in Asheville on Monday.

"Something came over me, I think the Lord came to me, and he just said get in the truck and leave," said Ken Shupe of Shupee Max Towing in Traveler's Rest, S.C.. "And when I got in my truck, you know, I was so proud, because I felt like I finally drew a line in the sand and stood up for what I believed."

Motorist Cassy McWade says she was in a car accident, and the family called their regular mechanic to drive about 45 minutes north in order to tow her home to Traveler's Rest from the side of the Interstate. He wasn't able to make the trip, so McWade says he called Shupe.

He arrived after about an hour and began the process of towing the vehicle.

Your title and little parts you quote mined from the entire story is very misleading. You give the impression he left a handicapped person on the side of the road because God told him to.
If you read the entire article or choose to quote the entire article he chose to leave her there because she was a supporter of Bernie Mac. While it is arguably wrong to leave someone on the side of the road because of their political beliefs or who they vote it seems a little less "harsh" to leave someone based on their political beliefs or it may be a more "acceptable" reason then it is simply because they are crippled and God told them to leave

I am not arguing what he did was correct however many people (and without over generalizing even more so in the US) are very politically charged or opinionated so while it was "wrong" to drive away and I don't think it was justified I can see where someone can "argue" for it. Driving away because they were crippled was not why he left.

I am not sure how you missed that the title of the article you presented was "Tow truck driver refuses to tow motorist over BERNIE BUMPER STICKER"

Not all, but tow truck drivers generally do not have a good reputation. Anyone here ever been towed?

he said this
sure that is what he said but it was after he saw the Bernie Bumper Sticker......you make it sound as though he was some religious nut job that believes God told him to leave someone on the side of the road because they were handicapped
It would be more accurate to describe him as a political nut job that left a person on the side of the road because they support Bernie Mac
Neither is a real good reason to do what he did but you seemed to have quote mined and took only portions of the article to put your own "spin" on things.

The dufus has probably cost himself thousands in lost revenue with this negative publicity instead of doing the decent thing by helping someone in need, at the risk of losing a few bucks if she didn't pay her towing bill. SMH.

It would be more accurate to describe the guy as a
religious man who believed God is a political nut job
like him.
