the dark side
I can't believe that Homolka has the audacity to come back to Canada :grey: .She is now living in Chateauguay, QC under the name Leanne Bordelais. Last I heard was that she was living somewhere in Mexico and I guess she wants to raise her two kids in Canada now. Probably the worst deal in Canadian justice history. I hope karma bites her in the ass!

CHÂTEAUGUAY – Residents in the south shore community of Châteauguay were in shock Tuesday after learning that Karla Homolka has reportedly been living in their midst for at least two years.

Homolka served a twelve-year sentence in prison for manslaughter in the sex slayings of two Ontario schoolgirls, Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy.

Global News spoke to many parents of children who attend the same school as Homolka’s children and they are simply outraged that they were kept in the dark.

One mother, who walked into the Châteauguay police station Tuesday morning said an officer confirmed that Homolka does in fact live in the area and that her children attend Centennial Park School.

The principal of the school refused to confirm or deny the reports but the school board’s director general insists a statement will be sent home to parents Tuesday evening.

One parent confirmed that she sees Homolka, who now goes by the name of Leanne Bordelais, every day dropping off and picking up her children at school.

Another mother was visibly upset and said her children are friends with Homolka’s children.

There is no word yet, on whether Homolka’s children are at the school today, but many parents are demanding answers and say they are ready to pull their kids out of school.

she did time based on lies. She scammed the system and should be in jail for the rest of her life like Bernardo
Lies?
She struck a deal. If that deal was based on lies it could easily be reversed. I have never seen a single attempt to reverse the deal.
Just because the crown made a bad decision in your mind doesn't change the fact that she did her time. Leave her alone.
I'm not defending her. But everyone loves to dump on her and call her a demon, when in reality she was just preserving herself, and if anyone should be 'demonzied', it should be the crown.

I agree. So she did terrible things and she was a monster back then.
Now the best if the community punish her children who are innocent?
It's just not fair and a child, who doesn't have friends , got many bullies for no reason, easily become a social pariah and a real psychopath.

She made her deal before Bernardo's lawyer admitted he had the video tapes.
That was the big screwup that let her get off easy, the crown thought Homolka's evidence was a key part of Bernardo's case, and also bought her story that she was also a victim of Bernardo. But by the time the videos came out she was convicted.

So demonize her for that?
She was just trying to protect herself, like any of us would.
Why can't people just leave her alone?
People want to pull their kids out of school because they are in the same school as Karla's kids? Get a fucking life, losers.

If she is married now then I'm good with a lynching. He can raise the children.

Anyone, I mean anyone who supports this monster being back in Canada really needs to give their head a shake. Considering what came up after the Deal with the Devil, and it was based on the she was an innocent drawn into his Web narrative I really don't have an issue with anyone in any town in Canada publicly shaming her.

I want her Children when they grow up to know what a monster she is. That she arranged for the rape and Murder of her own Sister.

This isn't about getting a life destillat. I and virtually every Canadian with a concious know she got away with rape and murder. This is about the Families of her victims. They deserve to know that the Nation stands behind them as they weep at the Graves of their girls.

Not in this case of your notion of fairness. She doesn't deserve it.

Again, I'm not supporting her... but what are you saying about our legal system? They dealt with her. She did her time.
Is she labelled as a dangerous offender? Is she on parole?
Leave her alone. I'm sure her kids will learn about who their mom is/was... but should their childhood and development be ruined because of a bunch of lonely, angry moms have nothing better to do but to go after some innocent children?

Tapes show she was not a victim like she claimed. She was a full participant. She was not "beaten" into doing what Bernardo wanted to do or went along because she was afraid. She raped and killed those girls just as equally as Bernardo. Lawyers hid the tapes and cut a deal. Had they submitted the tapes like they are supposed to then she would be in jail for the rest of her life like Bernardo.

And I never mention her children....they have nothing to do with anything. They can go to school wherever they want.

So she is to blame for her alleged lawyers misrepresentations?
If there were so many false pretenses, then the Crown surely could have had some recourse.
She struck a deal (as unfair as most people may consider it), she did her time, and now she has the right to be left alone.

I am sure if your daughters were raped repeatedly, murdered, cut up in little pieces and tossed away into a lake as if it were nothing you would feel different. Sure the Crown "fucked up" but it was based on a lie. Had her lawyers done what was supposed to be their legal responsibility then she would never have gotten the deal she did.
And I am not a lawyer however my understanding is no there was no recourse. Once the deal was cut and she plead guilty to the lesser crimes they could not "go back on it". It is similar to not being able to try the same person twice for the same crime (although she was not officially in a court her plea bargain acted as a "trial" and she cannot be tried or committed twice on the same offence)

My understanding was that her deal was on a complete open and honest statement. I heard that she did not include the joint sexual assault on Jane Doe which she probably thought wouldn't be uncovered. Considering the videos indicated that she was a very willing participant - I think the deal could have been seriously challenged. I realise that if the deal was made and the prosecutors really had no choice but to honour it if she lived up to her part of the deal.

As long as he police are aware of her presence - I don't think any other measure is necessary. Continuing her punishment will drive her underground and nobody will know where she is.

Karala Homeka wasn't innocent, no matter what she wanted people to think. She got off on a pussy pass, with side order of damselling.

That being said she did go to jail and it doesn't appear that she's going to reoffend.

She did her time and its not okay to stalk people.

What would actual BE contructive would be to fight to make sure that women can't use the pussy pass to get off for crimes or to get lighter sentances anymore.

The deal with the devil was sanctioned by that feminist NDP minister Marion Boyd.

I'm surprised someone convicted of brutal sex crimes is allowed to be around children.

Quote someone who interviewed her during her parole hearings" Bernardo was a rapist, but he did not have a tendency for murder until Karla came into the mix"....She's a textbook psychopath.

It wasn't her lawyer that screwed up, it was Bernardo's. He had the tapes and didn't view them until the day that Holmolka was sentenced.
As for her, she lied and claimed she was a victim of Bernardo and said she'd testify against him to get a lesser sentence.
Had Bernardo's lawyers handed in the tapes, as he should have, she would still be in jail now.
