Hey, don't blame me, I don't start these threads.Move these threads out please,The Mods should have and an option to limit a posters name to certain forums besides banning. Moviefan can be limited to only the politics forum, while trolls like frankfooter should be banned completely.
In my opinion the threads are about politics and we have a section for it.Hey, don't blame me, I don't start these threads.
All I do is point out that people like Canada man, who seems only to be able to communicate through pictures, make outrageous claims based on their own ignorance of the issue.
You don't have to open these threads.
Funny how that works eh, the people who believe its happening say its about science, the people who deny its happening claim its all politics. In my opinion the threads are about politics and we have a section for it.
I have rarely seen any issue that more closely follow political lines: those on the left who clamor for more government control invariably support the AGW theory ,because - Surprise surprise! it implies massive government intervention in the economy and individual liberties, whereas free market capitalists do not.Funny how that works eh, the people who believe its happening say its about science, the people who deny its happening claim its all politics.
It's not science and politics, it's science and big business. The smoking industry perverted science (think tanks, whole journals were created to spread doubt) for 30 years before giving in to scientific truth. The car industry fought against seat belts. In both those cases, the political spectrum aligned like you see in the climate change debate. So yes, there is a very strong suspicion in my mind that politics is the entire issue. Yo don't see left and right arguing so one-sidedly about whether Quasars exert enough gravitational force to bend space/time, o whether the N52(i)gene is mainly responsible for sickle cell anemia.
Add mercury dental fillings to that list (and I speak from personal experience)It's not science and politics, it's science and big business. The smoking industry perverted science (think tanks, whole journals were created to spread doubt) for 30 years before giving in to scientific truth. The car industry fought against seat belts. Yes, that's a better way to explain it.It's not science and politics, it's science and big business. The smoking industry perverted science (think tanks, whole journals were created to spread doubt) for 30 years before giving in to scientific truth. The car industry fought against seat belts. In both those cases, the political spectrum aligned like you see in the climate change debate.
