Active ingredient is minoxidil

It claims to stop hair loss and even produce some new growth

Like a LOT OF THINGS IT COST $30 per month

that seems to be the magic number people will pay

For hair loss / retention there some great natural remedies out there as well.

Putting eggs in your hair mixed with yogurt makes for a to improve the texture, thickness and health of your hair. Also helps to reduce grey hairs. Put 1-2 eggs in a bowl with some yogurt. Beat the eggs up and then apply the mask in your area. Leave for about 35-45 minutes. Can wear a shower cap so doesn't drip all over the place or sit in the bathtub. After about a month of doing this weekly you should start to see a real difference in your hair

Also using Cayenne Red pepper, Olive Oil, Cocounut Oil can help stimulate hair growth. Take half teaspoon of Red Cayenne Pepper and mix with a teaspon of Olive Oil and Cocunut Oil. Apply it to your hair and leave for about 45 minutes. It burns slightly, but that helps to stimulate hair growth.

Very inexpensive but effective home remedies. Often don't hear about these things since it's not something companies can make money off of. But with the power of the Internet it's a different story :)

Doctor proscribed it for toenail fungus, broke out in a rash and had to stop using it.

odd

toenail fungus is common but I never heard of minoxidil as a cure

BTW, always change socks and put baby powder in shoes to dry them out as that is where the fungus lives

its original use was to reduce high blood pressure then they accidentally found it produced hair growth

I wonder how that happened

were they putting it on their scalp to get it into their bloodstream? and does it also cure high blood pressure?

Same as Trudeau's dad was bald and his son has good hair , so genetics isn't necessarily a reason
But I really think it is the propecia and minoxidil, which I've been taking since my 20's, that's making the difference.

You can get generic minoxidil on Ebay for $8 a bottle.

Also why are you turds wasting your money on Rogaine when hair transplants can bring back almost a full head of hair now. The days of plugs are over, FUE and FUT can produce astonishing results:

Any idea of cost?
Most guys will need 2 operations, one to cover front and mid- scalp. And the 2nd one to cover the crown.

You're looking at between $15,000 to $25, 000. But then you're fixed for life

They cannot bring you back the hairline and density of 16 years old because the donor hair is very limited
You dont need to bring it back to when you were 16 to look handsome for the ladies. Friend of mine had it done and he said it was a life-changing experience. Wished he had done it sooner

Seriously? If there was a legit "cure" out there, I can assure you that whoever makes it would have bought 50% of the TV spots available out there. It would be bigger than Viagra!

If you start propecia you are defeating the purpose of improving your self esteem considering you might end up with permanent ED.

At least minoxidil doesn't say on the box you could get permanent ED even after stopping the medication.

When I have more time I'll write about the do's and dont's of hair transplants. I just had my first one done recently and have a lot of knowledge when it comes to this topic.

There are only maybe a dozen good clinics in all of North-America who can get you close to a full head of hair back, all the other ones are either average or complete shit.

More to follow later

What they can do nowadays is astounding. The technology is lightyears ahead of where it was 15 years ago. Most of the good clinics have a 3 month waiting list, thats how popular transplants are becoming:

Who ever developes a cure for balding, or something that looks natural as opposed to plugs, toupee, ect, will instantly be the worlds richest person. As for right now, they all are all easy to pick out. I can spot any of them a mile away.
