In civilian population, Poland suffered the greatest loses in WWII.

NOT CORRECT. Depending on the source, there were more civilian deaths in China or the USSR than Poland as follows:

Wikipedia has civilian losses at China (8 million from war + 5 to 10 million from war-related famine & disease), USSR (7.5 million from war + 8.6 million from war-related famine & disease) and Poland at 5.6 to 5.8 million.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties

Website entitled "National War Museum" has it at China 16 million (20 mil total less 4 mil in military deaths), USSR 14 million (24 mil total less 10 mil in military deaths) and Poland at 5.4 million (5.6 mil total less .24 mil in military deaths)

Website entitled War Chronicle has it at USSR 10 million, China 7.5 million and Poland 5.8 million
http://warchronicle.com/numbers/WWII/deaths.htm

Hilter.org has it at China 10 million, USSR 7.7 million and Poland 6 million
http://www.hitler.org/ww2-deaths.html

Secondworldwarhistory.com has it at USSR 13.2 million, China 11.5 million and Poland 2.4 million
http://www.secondworldwarhistory.com/world-war-2-statistics.asp

Another website has it at China 10 million, USSR 7.7 million and Poland 5.3 million
http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/world-war-two/civilian-casualties-of-world-war-two/

Encyclopaedia Britannica has it at USSR 7 million, Poland 5.7 million, and no figures for China (but guesstimate 22 million)

Which famous person created a larger literary output than Shakespeare and Dickens (combined!), but was famous for something other than being a writer?

Do not read more into it than a question that was not phrased clearly. That is all it is.

You know, I have to find these questions, make a illustration and then present them on a daily basis. Not as easy as to do as you think. You she try to do a few yourself.

BTW - 20% of Poland's population died in WWII, the highest percentage of any nation.

In any game of knowledge, a major component is the right to challenge the answer and a rebutal of the posed question.
Without that we have anarchy.

It was challenged, and I checked it and found that the reason was that the question was not phrased properly.

Lets give CC a break, after all he does put a lot of effort into this and I appreciate the daily challenge even though he's wrong on this one and the timezone question ;) lol.

At the very first Thanks Giving they may have ate corn, goose and lobsters, which were plentyful at the time in the area on the atlantic coast. They may have also ate tomatoes and potatoes which were considered tp be poison at the time. They may have also ate seals like early Newfoundlanders did.
