Without a doubt Lemmy lived a full life, probably surprised himself he lasted this long. Not many guys 60+ could live as hard as he did.
I shall not mourn for him as his life was I'm betting exactly as he wanted it. It was one hell of a ride for him.
It is my fondest hope that he went with a joint in one hand, I bottle of whiskey in the other and a groupie's lips wrapped around his cock.......

Motörhead's long time manager has issued a statement that he took Lemmy to the hospital on Dec. 15 as he was not feeling well, after a battery of tests it was discovered he had cancerous tumours in his brain and neck which were terminal. Lem was notified by his Dr. on Dec. 26 of the test results and was given anywhere from 2-6 months to live. Lemmy notified his band mates on Sun. Dec. 27 of his condition and on Mon Dec. 28 was preparing a press statement to notify the fans and media of his condition but died that afternoon before the press release was finalized.

On the 28th of Jan the world lost a true musical and cultural icon, Lemmy one of a kind, he will be truly missed. RIP!
