Trip to Qatar?

I was chatting with a lady that I see regularly, when she suggested that we take a trip together to somewhere different to bring in the New Year. I've taken her traveling before, so this was not a surprise. What surprised me, was her suggestion that we go to Qatar for a week and that, for two of the days, she'd get a separate room and work, to test the market in Qatar.

Even if she drops the idea of testing the market, which she's willing to do, as she says the idea is half in jest, is Qatar going to be that much fun?

Anyone who's been to Qatar like to comment?

So she wants you to take her to Qatar. Pay the freight. And then she will work?

Here is where I see issues......

Unless she is going "Dutch" for the trip then paying so she can test the working waters is a bit much don't you think? Honestly if you do this then you are pretty much declaring membership in the Mangina club in my opinion.

But even if you are cool with that there is a much bigger concern. If you travel with her, pay her expenses then your name is on everything.

And what if she gets busted?

Kinda easy to infer you are her pimp and are trafficking her eh? Remember you will be in a ME country. Want to test the law there?

I wouldn't.

The last thing you want is the possibility of this. Do you think the Canadian Gov't will go out of their way for a perceived trafficker?

And it's ok to tell her this. It's your ass on the line. And if she doesn't understand the consequences......get a new regular.

Seems like she's benefiting a lot more with this trip than you are. It would be entirely different if you said "Hey, I'm going to do _______ on these two days without you (for whatever reason), so feel free to use your time however, maybe work." Buttttt that's not the case here. You say the idea was said half in jest and maybe it was. But at the same time, if you said yes go for it, that girl is working in a heartbeat...jest out the window.

I've only been to Doha and its boring as all hell. Its not designed for tourists so there aren't a plethora of entertainment options. Its fine, and its safe, but its like a cleaner Regina with some Arab flare. Well, ok there are a few museums, a couple big souks, a walking beach, big mosque, etc. If you've never been outside the West then yes it might be fascinating to discover Gulf food and Gulf malls etc.

I took my regular on many trips. Toronto twice, Vancouver twice and on the last one trip we went to the UK. On the first night we stayed out late and got drunk. Went back to room and passed out. The next night, we went back to the room early and had our private time and, since I was tired, she asks if she can go back to the bar. She has no cash so I give her 30 pounds. She comes back at 3 am and immediately goes back out. She returns at 5:30 am. The next day, she asks me to hand her her cigarettes and I drop the pack on the floor. 200 pounds falls out of the pack. Guess what she did last night? On our final night, her roommate messaged her about an "emergency" back home. She was no longer in the mood... $1500 to bring her, $3000 paid to her, all expenses paid for her, one service and tons of disrespect shown to me throughout the trip. She was dismissed as my regular as soon as we returned to Ottawa. Last I heard from her, she was trying to secure an apartment using a forged letter from me (landlord emailed me to verify).

If you want my advice, don't bring your regular on a trip. And, as you can see from the last thing she did, maybe don't give anyone your real name. Enjoy the local talent when you go outside of Ottawa. Certainly when I've gone to the ME, there isn't much but why spend so much money on one girl when you can spread that money around and have more fun? I learned my lesson.
