Wow compared to some boards in smaller market it is pretty quiet around here.

I am starting to think there is no one else on the board. What is going on or not going on?

Very little interaction on this board. Maybe every one is on holidays? Or working? Even the SPs are not responding. Starting to wonder if it me.

Many members, particularly the ladies, do not or rarely post in the open forum because they don't like being attacked by other members. There have been a few times where I posted a question in the open forum and received a response via PM because the member did not want to post it in the open forum.

Happens often. Ladies have to look out for themselves. If you have a life that you can openly be on a public forum here then go nuts. But many ladies don't have such fortunes so posting is kept to a minimum if anything. And there are always people ready to attack you via PM or publicly if they have the guts. True or not. Why do people attack others on here. The whole idea was an exchange of ideas, views, opinions, and thoughts. I like the opportunities to share and get feed back. On other boards I have been attacked but there are more good than bad.

So the answer is a ghost town. No one shares thoughts or experiences? Wow how the cyber world is changing so that the mean and witless such us all down.

I can appreciate the ladies position it is their livelihood. But the members should take ownership if the value of the board is to be enjoyed. Other wise what is the point?

Yea Wolfe maybe that is it. Too much and no one takes the time to comment or acknowledge so then others stop posting and well it is over.

I suspect there is a substantial amount of traffic occurring in the form of Private Messages.

Funny cowboy but on other boards much more exchange of ideas and thoughts and experience.

Just curious why there is not more on here. There does not seem the sense of community that I have felt else where on smaller boards like smaller city's you get to know your neighbor.

I feel activity comes in waves.. It was just fiscal quarter end last week for me so incredibly busy, now I'm back, but I bet others are worn out by Halloween. I remember there being quite a bit of activity in early October as well.

Ultimately though this is perception.. Unless Fred publishes activity stats we won't ever know. I'll admit to being personally not interested very much about sports related threads and the like, although there are a few folks here I (in the modern Twitter sense) follow - in that when I see their names on recent posts I tend to take a look!

We are on an anonymous board with nom de plumes only known to the user. I'm not sure why users would spill their identity outside this board (a deal for favorable reviews ?) So if you are a member, an 'attack' can only be verbal abuse ... words .... only words .... and possibly from either a 15 year old living a make believe life in the basement of his parents home or a lonely anti-social loser timidly striking out the only way his cowardly ego will permit. So post your thoughts and if a thread is going in a direction your not comfortable with - change threads.

I realise the ladies nom de plume is also their business name but I hope that the occasional challenging post by an immature gutless male member is treated the same as you would the crying of an obnoxious kid on a bus. The ladies here are an intelligent beautiful addition to the discussion group and if some low life is verbally abusing (not to be confused with a contradictory opinion) then contact the monitor.

And that's a fair point. Just saying that there's possibly a large exchanging of thoughts, ideas, and experiences occurring in Private Messages, hidden from public view. I'm certain that we all have several trusted TERBites we are proud to call friends or at least confidantes with whom we'd share information more readily in privacy than out in the open for all to see.

Well cowboy I hope I can earn that privilege. I had a few good old boys who I developed a great relationship on another board. Even hung out together. In this hobby hard work to find others who understand what goes on. So finding a few who you can connect with is great. This is why for me this community becomes interesting.
