For an continued success they will need at least three things; Price picking up his game, Tulo's bat waking up, and Martin not being error prone.

Go Jays Go.

I was really afraid the umps would call infield fly on that popup. In that case, Donaldson is out and Pillar doesn't score. Rangers would still be leading 3-2.

Let's not forget the 3 great defensive plays. one by Pillar and two by Goins.
I also thought the infield fly rule could have been called..but it would have made no net difference....it has to be called right away, and then Revere would have stuck to first base, Donaldson would be out...but runners, like Pillar, can advance at their own risk...so he would have scored by taking off the second the ball hit the ground......became moot any way

Infield fly rule can only be called if it's an easy catch for the fielder, Odor was back pedaling and really never lined up with the ball. If he had a better jump and turned around the ump might have called it.
Would've been a grand slam anyway, Bautista's bat flip was destiny and was not going to be stopped LOL

Mini Bautista in the stands last night:

This is correct. Run would have scored, no force at second because Donaldson is out. Infield fly rule sometimes gets called when it shouldn't be, I believe rule states ball can be played with ordinary effort by infielder, which is pretty loose. But… runners would have ended up in same spots. Good running by Revere to hold up-if ball is caught and he is double up it changes everything.

Jays vs KC for the AL pennant again!, hopefully Jays can beat them this time around!

The 85 series was a heartbreaker, the year before in 84, it was a best of 5 series, they changed it to best of 7 in 85 (Jays led 3 games to 1, KC won the next 3 games- George Brett killed us), I was depressed for weeks after that.

Congrats Blue Jays, even though I'm a Tigers fan. If you make to WS, hope you do better, than the last time we were there.

ALCS best of 7 between Jays and Royals will set up two teams with contrasting style of play. The Jays will mostly live and die with the HRs and the Royals are built on speed and singles! I think Martin will be the key from nailing down any base thiefs in this series. It helps that Jays have a few ex NL players in the lineup so they could deal with Cueto when his turn to pitch in the series. Good thing that Jays don't face Kuechel of Houston. Kuechel is a beast at home!
On paper the Jays should sweep KC and go on to the WS. Will see.

OK I love the Jays and I am a big Bautista fan, but, the next time Bautista faces Dyson he better hang loose. In a big game with a national TV audience Bautista showed Dyson up and Dyson and the Rangers won't forget it soon
Except I dont think Joey was trying to show him up, it wasnt directed at him, it looked like just a spur of the moment thing.

Dyson needs to relax

Agreed i think we match up well against KC. Built around speed defense and bullpen.
I think the Jays worked out their playoff nerves in the first 2 losses and now the batters have confidence.
Both teams have momentum since KC was also on the verge of elimination in game 4.
Jays in 6!

I don't think he was trying to show Dyson up either, but I bet you have a hard time convincing Dyson of that. My guess is when the right situation arises, Bautista wears one. Unfortunately for Jose it isn't the first time he has given the impression he is showing up opponents. The upside of this is after being thrown at he usually gets pissed off and hammers one. Just hope he doesn't get seriously hurt when they retaliate!

It was a wrong night to do it at BMO field when the Jays were playing next door! Cheers to all sports fans in Toronto! Now, if the Leafs can do something:frusty:
